Hurricane Lee path update: Dangerous rip currents, big waves for Jersey Shore this weekend 15/09/2023

There is a high surf advisory and high rip current risk this weekend. Please be careful & stay safe.
There are many aspects to water safety--the importance of swim lessons, always swim near a lifeguard & pay attention to water conditions.
My bill, A-618, would teach basic water safety in school. This one small way we can help prevent drownings.

Hurricane Lee path update: Dangerous rip currents, big waves for Jersey Shore this weekend Waves of 6 to 9 feet and a high risk of rip currents are expected at the Jersey Shore as Hurricane Lee passes far off the coast.

There is still tremendous sadness for all those who lost their lives and their surviving family members on the anniversary of September 11, 2001. We continue to remember the sons and daughters, sisters and brothers, and mothers and fathers that did not come home that day.
We also remember the heroes-- firefighters, police, and EMTs who sacrificed their lives trying to help save others during the devastation of that day. The stories of heroism and selflessness displayed on 9/11 still amaze and inspire us.
September 11, 2001 is a heartbreaking day in America’s history. However, the sense of American pride, resilience, and unity that grew after this tragedy was remarkable. May we never forget those who died and remember our American spirit and strength.

Is Jersey Shore In Danger Of Becoming 'Hell With The Lid Off?' - Insider NJ 13/06/2023

Great article. I have warned that this poorly written law is problematic for the police, municipal officials, residents of beach towns, and families visiting the beach and boardwalk.

Proposal would save busing for thousands of Monmouth County students 08/06/2023

Courtesy busing is an absolute necessity for Freehold Regional students. These students cannot walk or ride bikes to school on streets with no sidewalks, or travel on very congested and dangerous roads with cars and trucks.

I am committed to restoring courtesy busing at Freehold Regional which would impact 3,000 students and families. That is why I have asked to join A-5575 that pro that provides an exemption from state school aid reductions for Freehold Regional. As a condition of being exempt from state aid reductions, courtesy busing cannot be eliminated.

Proposal would save busing for thousands of Monmouth County students Thousands of Monmouth County high school students set to lose free busing next year could get a reprieve under a proposal introduced this week.

I am very concerned about the elimination of courtesy busing at Freehold Regional High School District and feel it could create a public safety problem. My District 30 colleagues and I are drafting a bill to provide $3.5 million to continue courtesy busing.

Protect Our Coast NJ rally in Trenton calls for pause on offshore wind 30/03/2023

I agree that we need to halt offshore wind energy development until we can ensure we are not causing harm to marine life.

My legislative district encompasses several beach towns, and the governing officials and local residents are extremely upset by these deaths.

I have written and urged the Governor to issue a moratorium on offshore wind energy development until we can ensure we are not causing harm to marine life. I am also a proud sponsor of AR-181 that urges an immediate moratorium on sonar testing and wind turbine mapping due to recent unexplained deaths of marine life off the coast of New Jersey.

Last week, I lost a dear friend, the longest serving New Jersey State Troopers Fraternal Association President Thomas Iskrzycki. Tom was dedicated to the State Troopers and had a larger-than-life presence in Trenton.
He was a good friend of my father’s and always supported me in my political career.
