Oops. Slacked on reporting my wellness journey. People asked, so read comments below for scoop…
Weeks 7-8 excellent! The changes I made proved successful! Bloodwork… best since 2016! 🥳🙏🏻🤩
WEEKS 5-6: 💪🏻 Good weeks of exercise and therapeutic eating 🥗 Also enjoyed socialization with the best friends on the planet. Got flowers and food and lots of outreach for Mother’s Day. Took four days off for a six day weekend. Life is a blessing! Onward I mosey to keep restoring my wellness!
WEEKS 3-4 ✅ Ok so Week 3 was mostly a wash, but I forgive myself 😁 Week 4 has been quite good, but I’ve got no pictures this time. It’s been a busy two weeks with a lot of after work activities. Week 5 will be stellar. For the few who care to know, stay tuned! LOL
WEEK 2: ✅ this week was not too bad, but I wish it could’ve been a little better. I completed the 39 mile Jesus Trail through The Conqueror app, so that was a great feeling. I signed up for new 35 mile trek through the Amalfi coast line. Diet wise, I didn’t do as well as the first week because, Friday, Saturday and today I was doing massive caregiving and rearranging of my parents home to get a hospital bed in here for my mom. Dad likes to cook, and I eat whatever he makes to make him feel good. I don’t really see much weight loss at all, but I’m certainly feeling stronger and better than I did prior to starting. Cortisol weight gain from stress is hard as heck to get off. It’s pretty frustrating. I’m making sure to keep moving, and what helps is an elliptical under my desk and a bicycle in front of my TV. There’s nothing I love more than outdoor walking, though, so that will be continuing for sure. Today begins week 3. Anxious to see how I do. I can’t wait to fit in my clothes again. It’s the most uncomfortably surreal feeling having this extra weight on. I’m so over it. Patience is a virtue. 🙃
WEEK 1 ✅ of my personal ‘reinvention’ wellness journey is successfully completed! 🌟 (Click into each photo for details in the captions). I love that I’m back (after 4+ hard years got me off track) to what I’ve been doing and teaching for almost 25 years!! Feels good and right!
Quick note: the journey you see here is for me only. Don’t do anything you see here, unless your healthcare provider gives it the thumbs up.🥰
True!!
LOL! I can relate. On that note… It’s always a good idea to create a list when you go grocery shopping and know ahead of time what your menu is going to be for the upcoming week. That helps prevent splurge shopping, to some degree, and that’s especially good nowadays with how food prices are flying through the roof. Another tip is to be sure you grocery shop right after you’ve had a nice filling meal. Grocery shopping on an empty stomach is dangerous 😉
HAHAHAHA! This feels so TRUE! Forgive yourself if you slip up. After you get your face out of the cake, go pick up another apple… carefully! LoL 😄

In both hot and cold weather, I love soup! I simmer different vegetables in low-sodium veggie broth with seasonings of choice! For this one: celery, red onion, broccoli, red/orange peppers and red-pepper flakes, cayenne and black pepper, garlic, parsley. Simmer until veggies are slightly soft, then puree! I sometimes add free-range chicken breast, beans and/or legumes after pureeing. See comments below for other blends. Here's to healthy eating!

Oregano oil vs Amoxicillin Experiment Which is more effective with destroying harmful bacteria?
I'm far from creative, but I think this graphic gets the point across. GO DEEP and pull out what IS already inside you... those "D" words! ALL are within you. BE deliberate... determined... disciplined... driven... doubtless... dutiful... dedicated... diligent... devoted and BECOME rejuvenated... recovered... recuperated... refreshed... resilient... recreated... reconciled... restored... rebuilt! It's time :)
🥦 👻 LOL considering the time of year and the fact that this page is all about healthy habits, THIS ⬇️ just seems to work 🎃🦇
KEEP THESE THINGS IN MIND! #1 might startle some of you regarding young women who smoke or v**e and heart attacks!! ❤️🩹

This time of year, I always think it is important to educate ourselves on just what sunscreens are and how they behave in and on our bodies. https://www.ewg.org/sunscreen/report/the-trouble-with-sunscreen-chemicals/
EWG's Guide to Safer Sunscreens Active ingredients in sunscreens come in two forms, mineral and chemical filters. Each uses a different mechanism for protecting skin and maintaining stability in sunlight. Each may pose hazards to human health. The most common sunscreens on the market contain chemical filters. These products typica...

5th mini-info post for National Nutrition Month. See to it that each meal and snack are more loaded with items from this pic than from things like mac and cheese, white bread, cookies, fries, greasy burgers, etc. The food you put in your mouth will either damage your cells and vital organs or help/heal/restore them!!
4th mini-info post for National Nutrition Month. Not all fish are created equal! Go for wild Alaskan catches of salmon and halibut, for example. For tuna, look for the youngest catch (levels of mercury increase over the lifespan of the fish).
3rd mini-info post for National Nutrition Month! Think Nature... think natural... think nutrition therapy! Apples fit this bill!
