Yesterday in Tampa, I witnessed a profound transformation as an equine bodyworker specializing in PEMF therapy. I had the privilege of working on a 6-year-old horse, whose hind leg was nearly immobilized, due to severe swelling and necrotic tissue and resulting in a deeply restricted movement pattern.
Just 20 minutes into the PEMF session, we saw a miraculous change: the once lifeless tissue began to rejuvenate, signaling the return of healthy blood flow. By the session’s end, not only had the swelling decreased so significantly that the horse could put full weight on his leg and assume a normal posture, but he was also able to walk normally. When turned out, he trotted and cantered sound—an outcome that seemed almost miraculous at the start.
The session was emotionally stirring, bringing tears to the eyes of everyone present. Witnessing such a rapid and dramatic recovery filled us with awe and gratitude. I am deeply honored to have played a role in this horse’s healing journey, bringing hope to both the horse and his owner. Such experiences underscore the impactful nature of equine bodywork and fuel my passion for helping these magnificent creatures regain their mobility and spirit.
Congratulations to Will Simpson and Imar and their whole crew! I just love this pair and I’m so honored to be apart of their wellness routine🥇🍾🦄
🥇🥇🥇Congratulations to .phillips171's Imar on his win today in the $24,000 C. Jarvis Insurance Welcome !!!! It's been so much fun getting to know this superstar!!! 🌟🌟🌟

As a bodyworker and a competitive dressage rider (or at least trying to be one), I understand firsthand that progress in riding isn’t linear. I live it every day and empathize with the roadblocks we hit while striving to achieve our goals. Let’s face it, nothing about horses is easy, but one way to help both you and your horse is by prioritizing wellness through regular bodywork.
Why Regular Bodywork Matters:
🐴For Your Horse: Regular bodywork helps your horse reach its full potential by ensuring their muscles, joints, and overall physical health are in top condition. This helps enhance their performance, prevents injuries, and promotes quicker recovery.
🫵For You: As riders, we also need to be in peak condition to perform our best. Bodywork for ourselves helps improve flexibility, reduce pain, and maintain overall well-being, which directly impacts our riding ability.
The Benefits of Regular Bodywork:
Enhanced Performance: Both you and your horse can perform at your best when your bodies are well-cared for.
Injury Prevention: Regular bodywork can identify and address potential issues before they become serious problems.
Faster Recovery: Bodywork helps in quicker recovery from the physical demands of training and competition.
Mental Well-being: Feeling good physically can also boost your mental state, helping you stay focused and positive.
🙋♀️My Journey: As someone who is both a bodyworker and a rider, I’ve seen firsthand the difference that regular bodywork can make. It’s not just about treating problems as they arise but about maintaining a routine that supports continuous improvement and well-being.
Let’s face it, the journey with horses is filled with ups and downs, but by caring for both your and your horse’s wellness, you can overcome the roadblocks and achieve your goals. Regular bodywork is a key part of that journey, helping you and your horse become the best athletes you can be.

Happy Wellness Wednesday! Today, we’re focusing on the importance of your horse’s posture and how it can impact their overall health and performance.
Why Should Your Horse’s Posture Matter? From experience, your horse’s posture, both statically and in motion, affects their performance, comfort, and overall health, including hoof health and how they wear their feet. When you can influence the horse’s natural state, everything can come into balance.
When out of balance, horses are more prone to injuries, joint stress, and various health issues like back pain, neck pain, lameness, and behavioral problems. They may build muscle unevenly or in the wrong areas.
▪️Before and After Analysis: These before and after photos were taken just an hour apart, with the horse standing in the same position, feet as square as possible.
First Page:
Before: The horse is spiraling or loading weight on the right front to relieve the left hind. Note the curvature in the spine, with the right rib cage contracted and the left side lifted.
After: The spine, sacrum, and shoulders are almost totally straight.
Second Page: My Personal Experience with Scotty:
🦄Scotty, during rehab, highlighted the issues he had always had with his posture. Riding him, I constantly fought the bulge in his left ribcage while being shoved to the right. His pelvis felt like it was pushing the back of my saddle, making my right hip uncomfortable. His head and neck naturally pulled to the right, he struggled to unlock his right shoulder, and his sternum was constantly out to the right as well causing behavioral problems while putting the saddle and girth on.
🦄After: Scotty’s spine is straighter, shoulders more centered, and the kink in his neck is gone. His sacrum and shoulders are more even, and his sternum has relaxed.
Some horses, like mine, need more layers peeled back. Remember, life isn’t about finding perfection but finding balance.
