Well, Hello There Darlin' Vintage

Working through a large stack of daguerreotypes,I find myself using the jewelry loop to look at all the tiny & very important details. It’s quite amazing when you look closely at these souls from well over 100 years ago… each tiny button on a leather glove, a bit of netting on a ladies hat, a cleverly embroidered pattern on collar and the hint of blush handpainted on the cheeks and lips delicately on after the photo was processed.

Wondering how to say that word? It’s daguerreotype (de-ger-o-type) a photograph on silver plate and the first successful means of not only portrait photography, but it was very wide spread for the masses AND the first time that photographers had the ability to make copies of photos!

ALERT! STOLEN TRAILER!

At some point on Sunday night our store trailer was stolen from our barn located 119 Railroad St, Parma, Mi. The barn is just a couple blocks from our store. The trailer was there on Saturday evening when we left, neighbors saw it there Sunday night.

This is a picture of the trailer (the hitch jack has been replaced and is no longer bent). It’s a Charmac Toy/Car hauler.

Part of our business is selling estates for clients and we had just done a pick up estate items in Friday. The trailer was FULL!
