Team USA is thrilled to be tracking two of the 16 competitors in Brady Landon and Kensei Matsudaira. Start time is this Saturday is noon in Sweden 3 AM California! Best of luck guys! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

The final shot of the day is another from the 1987 High Desert Classic at Speedway USA in Victorville. In this one in front of a big crowd, Danny McNeil is on the inside with past AMA co-Rookies of the Year Jeff Johnson and Jim Turner. Danny was one of, if not the last, D1 regular to race a full face helmet. Photo 10565.

Richard Perkins at the 1987 High Desert Classic in Victorville. Racing was a family affair as Richard's mom and dad along with his brother Frank were at every race. Richard came back a few years ago (I think it was right before Covid) and suffered a badly broken leg in a crash at Industry racing. Photo 10564.

Mike Faria at the April 11, 1987 High Desert Classic at Speedway USA in Victorville. While the original track is not there anymore, there is a track on the exact spot promoted by past Speedway rider John Aden. The track host Speedway Sprint, which are mini sprint cars powered by Jawa and GM engines, and go karts. Photo 10562.
