Been a while since we posted. Crazy busy. I see a lot of apartments, duplexes, town homes, etc going up all over the state. For the developers and builders out there, you need to try one of these projects with my material. Take-offs, engineering and a STRUCTURAL WARRANTY!! Owners will be happier, tenants will be happier, builders will love it.

They tried to silence him, bankrupt him, disqualify him, charge him with felonies and now today, they tried to kill him. This is what a leader looks like. God bless President Trump.

Americans celebrate the fourth of July every year with excitement, joy, patriotism, and happiness. The day that we commemorate was not met with the same enthusiasm. Brave intelligent men came together and put their names on a piece of paper. They signed it knowing war would follow, and failure would result in death. I can't imagine the weight of the quill pen for each man who signed it and the courage it must have taken.

Look around you. Look at your possessions, your family, your home, your neighborhood, your city, your state, etc. Would you have had the courage to put your name on that piece of paper knowing you could lose it all? Our nation is worth the sacrifice. They knew it back then, and we need to be reminded of it today.

Gary and I like to enjoy a fine cigar and a smooth bourbon together usually after a long week or on a holiday. That got me thinking about all the soldiers who will never again light up a fine Rocky Patel or Monte Cristo, pour a stiff Michters on the rocks and just sit with their dad, brothers or fellow soldiers and just let the mess of the world disappear in those soft clouds of smoke.

SIPs

When we say we have the best Structurally Insulated Panel material package available, this is what we mean.

Just shy of two days work after putting up with the wind and rain and the walls are pretty much done. One more great start to another awesome building.

For today's lesson, I'm going to be using a relatable scenario to help everybody understand the contracting business a little better.

Let's say you have a broken tooth. You call the dentist and ask how much is going to cost to fix my tooth? Most likely, they will say it could be anywhere from $x-$y-$z but we'll have to take a look at it in order to determine the exact cost. That's called an estimate.

Next step, you go to the dentist, they sit you down and assess what needs to be done to fix that tooth. When they are finished, they say the tooth will cost exactly $x to fix it. Whether they fix it or not, they will give you a bill before you leave. That bill is for their time and expertise to supply you with a scope of work, schedule and exact dollar amount for your specific needs. That is called a quote.

If you're thinking about building, please keep this scenario in mind. The DIY channel has done significant damage to contractor/customer relationships. Just because you might be capable of doing it yourself, doesn't mean you that you should.

Fun fact, Employees actually prefer a little Ceasars pizza party with 2 liter bottles of 7up over a cash bonus as a reward for making the company more money. 🤣🤣 then there's the other company that gives the employees 200 bucks for a Christmas bonus when they made 6 figure profits above what they anticipated. Then they tell you they don't always give out a bonus so you better say thank you sir.

Employees exchange their time and expertise for money. Don't p**s on their loyalty and patronize their devotion with a slice of sh*tty pizza and a 50 dollar gift card.
