For all the younger 🇺🇸 Americans, it always feels like its something new we aren't coming back from.

It isn't new. It never is. It's just a pattern. a

Its ALWAYS a "new normal"
Its ALWAYS "unprecedented"
Its ALWAYS "a game changer

✅chart of the day

👏🏼 Here is a chart📊📈 that really speaks to me‼️

⚠️How is everyone holding up during this madness❓

06/04/2020

🆘Sure you could be sitting in a CD or an annuity at 1.5% with no worries 😀....BUT...

⬆️The S&P 500 index 10 year return over the past 10 years is 7.77% 📈

➡️$250,000 growing at 7.77% for 10 years =$528,000
➡️$250,000 growing at 1.5% for 10 years = $290,000

➡️That extra $238,000 isn't free. You are paying the cost right now with:
💤Sleepless Nights
⁉️ Questioning what you own
😦Fear of loss
🚫Discipline to not touch your money
🤮Wanting to throw up because of market swings

✳️They say investing is like a roller coaster. Sure, your stomach will drop, but you don't really get hurt unless you try to get off the ride too early or fall off, so buckle your safety harness (⚠️have an emergency fund) and hold on.

✳️✳️Every other time in history it has paid off to be patient and follow the tried and true principles from the wealthiest investors in the worlds.

So exactly what is that fancy term advisors use called "Tax Loss Harvesting"❓❓❓

Well first, if you don't know...you should consider hiring a financial advisor. 👔

Here is a simple example of how it works:

Let's say you bought 🛒a Mid Cap Index fund in your non-retirement account(not and IRA of 401K etc.) for $200,000. The fund subsequently has ⬇️dropped by 30% in value to $140,000. 🤮

You could sell the index and replace it
with a good quality Mid Cap 👨🏼‍💼actively managed fund.
You do this all in the 📅same day so you aren't "out of the market"and miss the trading day or bounce.

You book 📗the $60,000 loss 😞but remain in the market , in the same asset class. You avoid the 👏🏻wash sale rule because you're moving from 😴passive to 🏃🏻‍♂️active, which are substantially different.

You can now use the $60,000 loss 👏🏻to offset 🤓gains.
➡️Long term Nets against long term.
➡️Short term net against short term.

You may have just saved $10,000-$15,000 💰 in taxes (cha-ching 💲 )this way❗️

*Consult with an advisor or licensed tax professional before executing anything. This is not intended to be legal tax advice.

👨🏻‍💻Just wanted to take second to remind everyone what the 10 year chart on the S&P500 look like.

✅The 10 year Avg. return has come down to a more reasonable 8.25% and the 15 year 5.36%

🤔When I think through this very serious pandemic situation I can't help but put 💯% faith into American Ingenuity. We always find a way.

🤓The way I See it....the only real solution is to find a 💉vaccine or viable COVID19 💊treatment, because a resurgence and a 2nd shut down would be complete devastation.

➡️Our grandparents made it through the Great Depression
➡️We helped end WWII and defeat the N***s
➡️We created prosperity and luxury in our country unlike ever seen before in history
➡️We righted horrifc wrongs that needed to be fixed during the civil rights movement
➡️We made it through oil embargos, stagflation, and double digit mortgage rates
➡️We theoretically proved that capitalism was better than communism when the Berlin Wall fell
➡️We survived and adapted to a major terrorist attack
➡️We made it through our own Major Recession after a bunch of morons over borrowed and over leveraged themselves because banks handed out free money
➡️ We continue to move forward and rebuild in the face whatever is thrown at us.

⚠️⚠️⚠️ PSA attention all small business owners, I would recommend submitting an application 📝under the SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program and seeing what the SBA offers you❗️

🔷🔷🔷Borrowers are eligible to have their loans forgiven❗️

How Much❓

🔷A borrower is eligible for loan forgiveness equal to the amount the borrower spent on the following items during the 8-week period beginning on the date of the origination of the loan:
✅Payroll costs (using the same definition of payroll costs used to determine loan eligibility)
✅Interest on the mortgage obligation incurred in the ordinary
course of business
✅Rent on a leasing agreement
✅ Payments on utilities (electricity, gas, water, transportation, telephone, or internet)
✅For borrowers with tipped employees, additional wages
paid to those employees

The loan forgiveness cannot exceed the principal✳️

⚠️You can fill out an application here:

✳️This involves a great tragedy 😭 and very few people qualify ✅for this but there is actually a way to contribute 💲500,000 in one year to a Roth IRA❗️❗️❗️

✳️ If you received a military death gratuity (💲100,000) and the maximum 💲400,000 Soldiers' Guaranteed Life Insurance death benefit, you can contribute all or part of the amount received to your Roth IRA❗️❗️❗️

✳️The rollover must be completed before the end of the 1-year period beginning on the date you received the payment.

✳️I hope you never find yourself in this situation, but if you do please use this little known ROTH IRA strategy if it makes sense in your situation-check with your financial planner.

🔹Interesting perspective from the great Gary Vaynerchuk 🙌🏼
🔹I have to say I generally agree✅
🔹But As always the devil 👿 is in the details in this case, garbage in🗑 garbage out 🗑
🔹If these folks are reading tabloids, s**t, or mindlessly scrolling then that’s a bad thing👎🏼
🔹If these folks are reading the The Wall Street Journal, reading a great book, or soaking up great content from Gary Vee, Tim Ferriss, or some other great content then it’s all good‼️💯🔥👍🏼

Here is an example of how bad/ mediocre credit could cost you $1,000,000 on 1 transaction.....a 30 mortgage. 😳😳😳

All aboard .....the LOGIC 🚂🚂🚂

Assume you borrow $450,000 on a 30 year mortgage.
⬇️
A+ Allyson qualifies for a 3.75% rate with a monthly payment of $2084.
Johnny subprime qualifies for a 6% rate with a monthly payment of $2697.
⬇️
A+ Allyson pays $2084 X 360 -->total cost of her home $750,247. 🏡
Johnny Subprime pays $2697 X 360 --> $971,271 🏡for the same exact home. (ouch, that stings 👊🏻)

BUT.....What about opportunity cost kids❤️
⬇️
A+ Allyson invests her extra $613/mo she isn't paying to the bank in interest payments because her Father is a financial advisor and taught her well. Over 30 years at a hypothetical 7% return, she could accumualte $747,842 in savings that Johnny subprime didn't have the cash flow for.
⬇️
She paid $221,024 less for her house AND saved $747,882 for a grand total of $968,866 in more wealth just for having good credit and being a diligent investor.
