[8:20 PM CDT Saturday 6/15] A Tornado Watch has been issued for much of western and central North Dakota until 2 AM CDT. A couple tornadoes are possible across the watch area, but our main concern is damaging wind gusts up to 85 mph and wind-driven hail. Please pay attention to the weather tonight and know where your shelter is, especially if you are outdoors!

CITY OF CENTER COUNCIL MEETING POSTPONED
Owing to a council member unable to attend, the city reported tonight's regular council meeting will be postponed until next Monday, May 13. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and will be held at Betty Hagel Memorial Civic Center.
Elections are coming up and the Center Republican will be rolling out some Q&A stories from candidates running for positions. County candidate Q&As will be planned for the May 16th issue, followed by school board (May 23) and city (May 30).
