Kial Chandler Darst, 24, of Gainesville, was last seen on Wednesday, April 3, when he left a residence in the 6000 block of Falling Water Lane in South Hall County. Kial’s last known location was on Hamilton Mill Road at Insterstate 85.

Media Release: Shooting Leaves Two Males Deceased and Two Injured.

Officers assigned to the Central Precinct responded to a person shot call on the 1300 block of Baldridge Dr. Upon arrival officers located two deceased males in the front yard of the residence and two additional males with gunshot wounds. The two injured males are currently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital. Preliminary investigation indicates there was a verbal altercation in the front yard that led to the exchange of gunfire.

The Gwinnett County Police Department Criminal Investigations Section is investigating the death of a male and female on the interstate that has been ruled a double homicide.

On Sunday, August 27, shortly before 7:30 p.m., officers assigned to the North Precinct were dispatched to an unknown medical call on Interstate 85 at the 985 split. A male and female were found deceased on the shoulder in the grass by a passerby. There were no vehicles near the bodies.

The bodies were taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office, where investigators determined that their deaths resulted from gunshot wounds.

The female victim has been identified as Maria Rosaria Montes Dorantes (age 23), and the male was identified as her brother, Juan Angel Montes (age 16, Griffin).

Investigators with the Homicide Unit are following up on leads and seeking tips through Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta at 404.577.8477.

Now, we do not approve of the language he used here, but the creativity of the overall piece was high. The mixed media this artist chose was toilet paper enhanced by cell water. Again, our fine, young officer, Adam Graves, who professionally performed his duties, was singled out by this artist for some unknown reason. 🤷🏻‍♂️

And that’s not a “Z” on the wall, it’s a #2 to identify which holding cell someone is in.
