This time when I was in Alaska, we went biking to check out Glacier views. I just can't explain how amazing the colors and sights are. You have to come. ✨️🚂❤️🧊🎣

Today is day 11 of getting to know me. On this day 23 years ago, I heard about the first tower being hit in NYC. I listened to Bob and Brian on the radio talk about what was happening on my way to work. At that time, I worked in an orthopedic office, and I remember a group of us in one of the doctor's offices watching the towers fall on a tiny TV screen. The doctor I worked with was in surgery that day and at one point we talked on the phone, and he was questioning cancelling surgeries. I left the office at lunch time to sign the lease on my new apartment and the skies were such a bright blue.

New York City isn't high on my list of places to visit, but every year on this day I want to plan a trip to see where the towers fell. I turned 24 a week after the attack and at that point my life changed, and I never felt the same bit of security in life as I had before. I still tear up when I see the videos of the gray dust filled streets. Hopefully someday I will visit the place that changed my life forever.

My Alaskan breakfast this morning was at the locals favorite Gwennie's And boy they weren't lying the bacon was absolutely fantastic and the hospitality was out of this world! I definitely would want to come back here.
