The Synapse Fintech Bankruptcy has depositors complaining of frozen funds at Evolve Bank, Synapse and Yotta. The heart of this matter is something we've been warning about for years. The FDIC kicks in when banks fail, but not when brokerages do. When Voyager Digital failed, the FDIC sent the company a cease-and-desist order for claiming that depositors were covered.

Are you headed for the beach this summer? We all want to frolic in clean water, and love seeing dolphins and whales playing in the waves. When we think of cleaning our oceans and beaches, plastic waste comes to mind, as does pollution runoff that can make swimming and surfing unhealthy. It can feel like other people and corporations are the polluters, especially if we already have our reusable water canteen and coffee mug. However, in fact, there’s a lot more that each one of us can do to rid our oceans of the flotsam, jetsam, gunk and toxins that none of us want to swim in – or see turtles wrapped up in.
