UPDATE ON MY PHYSICAL HEALTH: I'm out of the hospital. And - PRAISE GOD! - no cancer detected, I did not have a stroke, and my heart is in pretty good shape. What's up is this: First, I have ulcers that are causing me pain (sometimes a lot of pain). Second, there was a bad drug interaction between two meds that I was taking. And third, for some reason, I had extremely low sodium. One med will no longer be in the mix, and I will be following up with my primary doctor and my gastroenterologist about the ulcers. I THANK EVERYONE FOR KEEPING ME IN THEIR PRAYERS! 'The prayers of the righteous availeth much.'

UPDATE ON DJAN'S FISCAL HEALTH: DJAN could be in much better health right now. Despite being a volunteer justice ministry, we must still do things that cost money, and therefore have bills to pay. Fundraising over the summer was slow and election-year fundraising is understandingly more challenging this year than ever before. In fact, we're currently having concerns about cash flow. The 2024 Biennial Session of the National Convocation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada took place in Greensboro, NC, on July 11th - July 14th. It was a very successful gathering with informative Bible studies and workshops, challenging and inspirational sermons, uplifting worship and music, and discussion about the extremely serious situation in Gaza.
