We provide primary education free of charge to undervalued girls in need, including: the arts, daily hot meal, safe transportation to school, dental care for 92 students in 2012, and personal development. Additional family and community education is provided regarding the value of the girl child. We teach peaceful ways to solving family conflicts without violence.

Hoy 4 de febrero del 2024 empezamos un año y una mañana con mucho entusiasmo , nuestro padres de familia asistieron con mucha responsabilidad y puntualidad a la primera faena del 2024 que consiste en la primera lámpara de cultivo de nuestra papa que servirá para la preparación de los alimentos de nuestras niñas este año.

I was just watching your interview on msnbc story about Gov. Abbott and his hateful cruel actions on the border to eliminate as many immigrants as possible who seek asylum in the US. I don;t know how you stand that hateful man and who he got elected again with Beto was trying to replace him the last election.The current news stories about the wire and pushing little kids into the deeper water so they drown is heartbreaking and left me in tears. How can this be America? I founded a free school for poor indigenous girls in the Andes of Peru and if I were younger I would go to the border to help and translate. The Supreme Court ruling Abbott is giving the middle finger to and also Pres. Biden’s order to stop or he will send in the national guard….well deSantis is just like Abbott and is sending his national guard to inflict more pain. My mother was born in Sweetwater TX and my grandmother and Aunt lived in El Paso until they dies. Both were school teachers. I live in Calif and makes me ill to even think of visiting my mother’s birthplace. My oldest son moved to San Antonio telling me the people think like him in tax and he is. Maga GOP retried military. Painful to even write. He hated my work. Please Please Please address the senate and help them pass the immigration bill that Trump wants to killl so he can do worse than Abbott. I will pray for you and others like you to send the haters to live in Russia. Good people can fix this mess. Please do I just make a monthly donation to help you win …you must not lose. Blessings

Mi querida promoción SEFEX hoy es un día donde tenemos sentimientos encontrados porque nos despedimos después de 8 años de días felices y tristes donde crecimos juntas y las vimos convertirse en unas señoritas llenas de fuerza y valentía, pero nos reconforta saber que nos sentiremos orgullosas de las mujeres líderes que se convertirán en el futuro y representará con orgullo a su familia de CHICUCHAS WASI, las amaremos por siempre.

Hoy nuestra profesoras demostraron todo su talento artístico en la presentación teatral "El bautizo de la t'anta wawa ".
El bautizo de la wawa es una costumbre familiar que con el paso de los años está desapareciendo. Esta consiste en la participación de varias familias que utilizan este panecillo especial para agasajar a sus difuntos durante el Día de Todos los Santos.
Las wawas de pan o t'anta wawas son panes de gran tamaño moldeados con formas de bebés, generalmente van rellenos de dulces y chocolates se les entregan a los niños en el Día de Todos Los Santos.

At Chicuchas Wasi School for Girls we promote gender equality, self-esteem, and human dignity for indigenous girls of rural Cusco, Peru, by educating, empowering, and preparing them for economic independence and unlimited opportunity. We provide quality primary education free of charge to undervalued girls, including: the arts, daily hot meal, safe school transportation, dental care, and personal development. Additional family and community education is provided to promote the value of girls. We teach healthy ways to solve family conflicts without violence and psychologist counseling as needed.
