Tis the season for painting Bird Nests!

Finally! The cherry blossoms are here!

I had a wonderful adventure on Cumberland Island Georgia! So much beauty along the coast. Live oaks covered in Spanish moss, incredibly beautiful marsh lands, wild horses, misty mornings along the ocean and like-minded souls to share it with.

Today's work in progress. I'm experimenting and using different mediums with my pastels. This one incorporated alcohol spray and sizing starch which gave the construction paper more texture.

Still making a few marks on these recent practice pastel paintings. Pastels are messy (so is pottery 😉😆 - another passion!) but the vibrancy of color is amazing!

Less than 12 days of Christmas continues: a peek at the steamed silk pieces. Next step, rinse and sew.....sew much fun!!!
Amazing what everyday plant life can create.

Yay! I delivered four paintings to the WNYAG (Artists Group Gallery) Artful Gifts Show along with several ECO printed (dyed & imprinted with local plants and flowers) silk scarves. The Opening Reception is Saturday, November 18th from noon – 2PM. The show will continue through December 23rd. It’s a wonderful place to do your art and gift shopping! Artist Group Gallery is located at 1 Linwood Avenue (at North) in Buffalo, NY.
