Our Story
FairPlay4Kids is a youth sports advocacy organization dedicated to bringing fairness and balance to FIFA and other sports organizations who may discriminate against kids.
FairPlay4Kids is identified by the hashtag #FairPlay4Kids
The organization was founded in October 2015 in an effort to change or amend FIFA Article 19 which bans 1000s of youth football players around the world without a license/permit/card to compete in organized football matches/clubs.
The FIFA rule violates children's rights by making it impossible for the parents or legal guardians to meet the numerous requirements to prove income, residency, length of residency, periods of education and many other countless numbers of requirements set forth by FIFA Regulation known as #ARTICLE19.
FAIRPLAY4KIDS demands that FIFA change or amend ARTICLE 19 so that it reflects the global trend of families working abroad more often than before. The rule was meant to curtail a very few number of trafficking cases related to footballing. However, the rule is a "blanket policy" which violates the rights of 1000's of children.
The youngest child who has been affected by Article 19 is 6 years old. Article 19 requires any child competing in organized football to have a license (player's card).
Please note, children licensed to play organized football do not receive wages, salaries or any other form of compensation.
