We’ll call this “Realtor Era” a valuable learning experience…
Did I fail in the profession? Pretty much.
Did I learn a lot about what I didn’t want in my life? Yes!
Did learn a lot more about what I DID want in my life? You bet your sweet ass I did.

I am forever grateful for my couple years as a realtor. It allowed me to fine tune my path. It was a necessary step in me becoming more of myself. It allowed me to rediscover my love of being behind the camera.
I started making videos to promote listings, I leaned into the creative parts of real estate.
I knew in my heart that the career itself was not a good fit for me soon after starting. But I didn’t want to give up. I worked so hard on getting through real estate school, passing the exam, learning from Keller Williams, I had other realtors investing their time and money into me on their team…
I didn’t want to disappoint them, I didn’t want to seem flippant and to move from career to career.
All the while I was still teaching my sweet music munchkins and I finally realized my time is my time. I did not want to spend it doing something that I had grown to loathe. I cannot live my life spending my time like that. I talked it over with Mike, completed my last transaction and left my brokerage. I did not renew my license and have never regretted one moment of the “Realtor Era”.
It has given me the courage to follow my heart and figure how to do the things that make me happy.
After surviving the pandemic, inspiration came to me in the form of my husband going back to school and completing a degree.
I looked through the school catalogue and noticed their Production degrees. After a little while, I decided to enroll myself.
And now it’s 2 years later, I just graduated, have been working in the TV & Film Production field for a year now. I feel like sunshine inside most of the time. I love my job with GPB and I adore teaching my students.
Sometimes it takes a minute to find yourself, but it can happen for us late bloomers.
And it is a feeling of gratitude I do not have the words to express.

My lab group and I killed it today for our “Noir” lighting/shadows lab.
So grateful right now for all of these amazing new experiences, people, and moments that I have had.
