As mentioned in our last post, we have scanned 1 billion sq ft of pavement and we could not be more proud. To put that into a different perspective, you could drive around the entire United States and still have miles left over. Now that's impressive!

Fun Fact: We have just passed the milestone of scanning and processing over 1 billion sqft of pavement across the US. So what does that mean? In honor of the Super Bowl this weekend, that is equivalent to 17,845 football fields.

Last weeks Guess This Distress was Longitudinal and Transverse Cracking (LTC) defined by ASTM D5340. Shown in the highlighted area below, LTC cracking occurs parallel to the pavement's center paving lane joints that is caused by thermal movement. Stayed tuned for next weeks Guess This Distress!

VP of Flight Operations Valerie Saur and Business Development Manager Renee Ferrari man the Silent Falcon Booth where they exemplify the depth of data that the PCI+ approach captures and the advanced visualizations that allow airport directors to better manage their pavement distresses.

Hannah Goelz is the Business Operations Manager at Silent Falcon UAS Technologies.

Hannah has a hand in all operations here at Silent Falcon.

She is instrumental in handling the contracts with clients, setting up new employees, managing the team’s travel to project location, procuring any supplies or equipment, managing employee needs or issues, developing and enforcing SOPs, and supervises the setup of our new hangar in Front Royal, Virginia. Hannah is also one of our top-notch UAV pilots; you’ll find her on the airfield just as much as in the office.

In the little free time Hannah can find, she is a certified rescue diver, jeep lover, photographer and owned by her two dogs. She also enjoys taking advantage of living close to so many amazing hiking trails.

Silent Falcon UAS would like to introduce our VP of Flight Operations, Valerie “Bush” Saur.

Bush has worked to develop a team of drone pilots that she runs like her personal fighter squadron. She brings her USAF experience as an A-10 Forward Air Controller with 2000+ hours to direct multiple drones flying simultaneously. Flying together as a cohesive team, in a few hours, the pilots she directs scan airport pavement and perform inspections that normally take days, all the while deconflicting from manned aircraft, allowing airport operations to continue uninterrupted.

When she is not educating the Silent Falcon CEO on the superiority of the Hawg over the Viper, Valerie is parenting her 3 feral children and training for her next marathon. ATTACK!

Meet Shihlin Lu, our VP of Software Engineering at Silent Falcon. She is responsible for leading the overall technical vision, strategy, and driving innovation on Silent Falcon's data and software products. She is involved in project management, design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring of all software and data projects. Shihlin is also a contributing software engineer for fullstack software applications and led the initial GIS data processing workflows. Beyond her dedication to work, Shihlin is also a competitive track and field athlete, specializing in the 400m hurdles where she enjoys "flying" over hurdles as much as the UAVs at Silent Falcon.
