Song Things Never Change, Frozen II
(Tell me you have a two year old without telling me you have a two year old ๐)
Ironically, the song 'Dry Up or Drown' by Evan Webb and the Rural Route Ramblers has been playing rent free in my head. A lot of my clients, like me, live close to the Mississippi or Missouri rivers. The water is so low right now, they look like two entirely different rivers.
I love seeing the Mississippi's many faces and changes throughout the year- although this dry season has been taking it to extremes. In Cape Girardeau, the dry hardened soil shifted to create a huge break in the water main. I'll be at pro-water boiler status soon enough. ๐ฆ
Has this extra-dry season effected you or your family in anyway? Show me your drought pics!
Snips, snails, and puppy dog tails ๐๐
Happy October Tumbleweeds!
"The minute I heard my first love story, I started looking for you." ๐ฏ
In a park full of dog walkers, trumpet players, and students everything faded away as soon as 'Marry Me' by Train played and Hannah and Nowsh danced together. ๐ถ
With Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge as their backdrop, the lovebirds leaned into each other, taking in the beauty of their love and the perfect September day. โ

๐ What a good time to Fall in love ๐
Southeast River Campus
Old Town Cape, Inc.
๐พ The grass is greener where you water it ๐พ
Loving you it runs so deep
Upon the surface here I sleep
Walking in darkened light
Walking all the day and night
Rivers fall the ocean's side
Fall for you here every time
Like a bee to the flower a buzz
Does a flower question love

Got to visit Stand Rock on a family vacation to the Wisconsin Dells this weekend. While many have heard of the Dells, most do not know that this town got on the map because of a photographer. ๐๐ธ
This very spot is where American Photographer H.H. Bennett took his most famous photo, marking the invention of action photography.
Previously, it took several minutes for a camera to take a picture, and any movement of the subject being photographed over this time caused the picture to become blurry.
Bennett invented a stop action shutter and captured his son making the 5ft jump onto Standing Rock, making a mark in history and photography.
This last photo is the original by Bennett. ๐ง๐
Post your own stop action photo below.
And remember to thank H.H. Bennett everytime youโre able to photograph a bird in the air, your toddler running through the house, or your dog catching a frisbee!
โจ Updated wedding pricing list โจ
Sincere thank you to all my clients for just being you and giving me your trust and support.
Spending a couple's wedding day with them is such a humbling honor and has given me connections that will last a lifetime. ๐
A note on pricing:
All wedding packages now include an outdoor engagement session at a local location of your choice and a one on one meeting with me to help with creating your wedding day timeline.
Wedding day timelines can be a daunting task with so much to think about in terms of optimal outdoor light times, guest experience, venue restrictions, and more.
TGIF tumbleweeds! You having a quiet weekend or a loud one? ๐ฃ

It was a sunny Spring morning without a cloud in the sky. Our second attempt to come out to Pinecrest; the gardens were closed the previous weekend due to weather conditions.
I was so nervous driving out there, dreading that the previous weekendโs weather had blown all the blossoms off the trees. But the second I made that last turn all my worries vanished. This really is one of the most magical places in Southeast Missouri to me.
I heard a rumor about Pinecrest not reopening next year due to lack of staff. Can anyone confirm if this is true or false? (Please be false!)
The Azalea farm is entirely run on donations and personally I would be happy to start paying a fee if the extra funds could keep this amazing place going. What about you?
