I started breeding Golden Retrievers as a hobby in 2005 when I brought home a beautiful Golden Retriever female known as “Lady” for my son’s birthday. This gorgeous sweet girl stole our hearts and made us lovers of the Golden Retriever breed. We are a farming family whose lives have revolved around breeding purebred livestock. So it was a natural progression to move from breeding cattle and hogs to breeding outstanding Golden Retrievers. From the beginning I did research and studied the breed to do everything possible to produce the best the breed has to offer. I started with Golden Retrievers because I was drawn to their intelligence and friendly, eager to please personality. Since that first Golden Retriever girl, my husband and I have searched high and low for the “perfect” Golden Retrievers to improve our bloodlines. Our children have long since grown and graduated and my husband and I continue to experience the joys and challenges associated with raising and placing high quality puppies into loving homes. Quivira Golden Retrievers is located near Washington, Kansas where we have space designated for whelping and raising great puppies. All of our dogs are on a high quality dog food and a strict parasite control program. All of our puppies come with a minimum of 2 year health guarantee against genetic hip, heart & eye defects.
