USA Swimming mourns the loss of Coach Jon Urbanchek, who passed away yesterday evening at the age of 87.

His decorated coaching career began in the 1960s and led to numerous appointments to U.S. Olympic and World Championships team coaching staffs into the 2010s. Jon will be missed around the pool deck, but his impact on the sport will continue for decades. Our thoughts go to his family, loved ones, coaching colleagues, and athletes.
