Please help us in celebrating Morgan our Surgery Coordinator and Kirsten our Insurance Coordinator on FIVE years of employment with Des Moines Children’s Dentistry! They started on the same day back in 2019 and we have been lucky enough to have them help grow and evolve our office ever since. We know many of you have benefitted from their dedication to helping our patients have success with their oral healthcare needs and we are so proud of all the work they do! No rest for our birthday girls this week! Happy birthday to Dr. Revell and Sydney!! Celebrating all while helping kids in the OR! They even got to work with their birthday buddy, Dr. Massner. We are thankful for all the work you all do helping our community!

Our team had so much fun educating sweet little friends outside of the clinic last week. We always love the opportunity to share important lessons about good oral hygiene, as well as how fun the dentist can be!

She helps keep the patients/families comforted and informed prior to their surgery appointments and keeps all our communication organized between our office and the surgery departments. What an amazing day combining two of our favorite things...food and science! We planned a sun and moon themed potluck and got to enjoy a gorgeous day together outside. An event we will never forget!

Part 2 of 10 year anniversary photos!

This week marks Des Moines Children’s Dentistry’s 10th Anniversary! Looking back, reminiscing on all the wonderful memories we have made over the years was the most fun walk down memory lane. We want to thank all the wonderful staff that have become family over the years. They work incredibly hard day after day to make the dentist a fun and safe place for our patients and we have been so blessed to have them in our lives. Thank you to our patients for giving us the opportunity to serve you and watch you grow and change with each visit. We hope you enjoy seeing some of our office’s favorite memories. Here’s to the next 10 years!

We first met Tae'shaun and Arianna the second week our office was open TEN years ago. Today we said goodbye to Tae'shaun as he leaves for college this weekend!! We love seeing our patients grow into wonderful, kind young adults. Good luck this year Tae'shaun, we are so proud of you and know you will do great things! GO HAWKS!

A great day for some Continuing Education at the Iowa Dental Association Des Moines District meeting, with Dr. Revell presenting.

This past weekend our team volunteered their time and talents to the IOWA Mission of Mercy, a two-day dental clinic that provides free dentistry to those in need. This year’s IMOM put on by the Iowa Dental Foundation saw 1,083 patients and completed $1,013,537 of treatment in just two days!!

Special shout out to Dr. Ryan Hajek at My Pediatric Dentist - Bayliss Park who co-chaired the pediatric clinic with our own Dr. Rachael Revell, along with his team including Dr. Ashley, Dr. Megan, and Dr. Greene. You guys were rockstars and we loved the opportunity to work together on such an amazing event.

Thank you Johnson Orthodontics for the yummy snacks! It really brightened our afternoon!!

Dr. Revell was honored at the Iowa Dental Association's Presidents' Dinner, receiving the Guest of Honor award for her contributions to the Iowa dental community. She was recognized for her volunteering and advocacy to increase access to care for Medicaid recipients in the state of Iowa. We are so proud of her and the hard work she puts in on behalf of our patients.

Over the weekend our staff had the opportunity to complete their first in-person continuing education in two years at the Iowa Dental Association's annual meeting. Continuing education allows our team to advance their knowledge and skills to better serve our patients and their families. We had so much fun spending time together outside the office while learning some new skills!

Join us in wishing our Dental Assistant, Nate, a very Happy Birthday! Nate has a way of calming and reassuring even our most nervous patients with his laid back and easy going energy. We are so glad to have you as a member of our team! Happy Birthday!
