Maine Transmission Safety Meeting: ATV and compass training with Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife 🌳

Celebrating success! Congratulations to Joel S. one of our Operations Managers in NC on his graduation from Leadership training last week. 🌳

Lucas Tree celebrated Arbor Day with Eversource CT passing out seedlings to students at a school in Deep River. 🌳

A successful day of coaching and networking with our front line management team. The morning started with a company vision presented by President, Art Batson and included training sessions on personal financial wellness, DEI, harassment, personal wellness and ethical decision making. The afternoon concluded with a fun round of “stump” trivia. 🌳

Jeremy from Crestcom Leadership offered a great Ethical Decision Making training session for our supervisors this afternoon.

With power restored to nearly 95% of customers since Thursday’s damaging storm, we are continuing to plow snow, remove trees, set poles, and restore power to towns that saw some of the worst damage. 1,100 crews continue to work, and as of Sunday night, much of the remaining damage is concentrated in York County, Southern Oxford County and Western Cumberland County.

In some of our hardest hit areas we have deployed mobile command centers to bring the functionality of our normal service centers closer to our customers in need. Weather conditions continue to be favorable for power restoration, and we will have crews working overnight, through the day tomorrow, and into Tuesday in some cases.

April Nor'easter cleanup and storm restoration continues. Our crews have been hard at work around the clock in our New England service areas. They will continue alongside the utility line crews until the lights are back on. The damage to trees and equipment was extensive. Here are a few photo's from our off road transmission crews. 🌳

This storm, a mixed bag of rain, heavy wet snow and intense winds comes on the heels of an ice storm just last week. There is severe damage, and it will take several days to clean up. GMP Crews Make Significant Progress in Tough Conditions, Damaging Regionwide Storm Continues to Cause New Outages - Green Mountain Power Green Mountain Power (GMP) is making tremendous progress restoring power to more than 46,000 customers since high winds hit Vermont Wednesday, followed by heavy wet snow that is forecasted to continue into Friday.
