We stand for good schools; a strong economy that works for all; equity, justice and opportunity; accessible public lands and healthy natural resources; quality, accessible healthcare; ending corruption; and a stong democracy.
Great training this morning from the Rural Urban Bridge Initiative, organized by Kaylee Peterson's team. It helped me understand why our Republican friends and neighbors are angry, fearful and distrustful of anything associated with the Democratic Party.
Key take aways for me:
Get out in the community and talk to people. Listen and try to understand their experience and point of view. Strive to be respectful, humble, and empathetic in thought, word and action.
Recognize the strength of their values and that they are good people. Be open to the possibility of being wrong. Be honest and own up to past mistakes made by Democrats. Treat everyone as an individual. See your views as different - not better. Be curious and willing to learn.
Whether running for office or trying to build a county party, personal contact is essential. Get involved in community service, where you get to know people with differing perspectives. Knock doors, hold listening sessions (instead of town halls), and ask people about their problems, concerns and priorities. Look for areas of agreement.

Rural Urban Bridge Initiative The Rural Urban Bridge Initiative invites liberals and progressives to think differently, talk differently, and act differently in order to understand the causes of the rural-urban divide and then do something to repair it.
Here is a great video from Reclaim Idaho explaining the Open Primaries Initiative:

The Grangeville Women’s Symposium that was scheduled for this Saturday, August 19 in the Grangeville Elementary School gymnasium has unfortunately been postponed. According to school district staff, the school board directed that the gymnasium not be rented for the event because it is “political”. This decision came after the organizers met all school district requirements including providing the signed contract; rental fee and deposit; and purchasing the required liability insurance.
The organizers plan to hold additional events around the state later this fall, and Grangeville will be included with them.
LEWISTON EVENT ADDED 8/19!
BRIEF SYNOPSIS:
Join us for the groundbreaking 1st Idaho Women’s Symposium. Learn the history and ongoing threats to women’s rights, hear firsthand accounts of how the Idaho Legislature is endangering women’s lives and safety, and how we can build solutions to combat extremism here at home.
EVENT DESCRIPTION:
The Idaho Legislature has taken away our reproductive rights, opposes our access to health care, votes down affordable child-care, rejects parental leave policies, and more. This informative symposium will bring experts and political leaders from across the state together to discuss the harmful anti-woman policies that have already been enacted, new threats on the horizon, and ways that regular men and women can fight back and work to restore our rights.

Kaylee is on the front lines fighting for decency and evidence based policy that will support prosperity for all. It is unfortunate she and her family are having to deal with this bad behavior. To support Kaylee go to her web site and sign up to help or give a donation; or attend the Lewis County Pizza Picnic this Friday, July 14, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., at Riverfront Park in Kamiah (US Highway 12 and S. Lagoona Drive) where Kaylee is a guest speaker.

DOOR KNOCK OF THE DAY (September 11).
I registered three new District 15 voters today, all at different addresses. Two were concerned about losing their personal freedom and one wanted their access to public lands protected. One registered as Republican, one as Democratic, and one as Unaffiliated. Two are taking yard signs and all three said they will be voting for me, along with others in their household.
I knock on doors BETWEEN each legislative session so I can learn how to best represent my constituents DURING each legislative session.
My job is to represent my district, not myself.
Fulcher consistently votes against the lives of women and people in this state.
I stand with survivors, always.
Oh my!!
President Joe Biden is 💯 percent right.
