So proud of this young lady! Glad to be a part of her journey!
One thing for sure. The University of North Carolina softball team is going to be tough! A second pitcher from our organization has chosen UNC as her future home, and she is also the real deal. Congratulations to Jil Livengood, who chose to stay in her home state to play D1 college ball. Jil works with Certified Instructor, Thomas Judkins.
A lot of us have met Jil over the years, and feel that UNC just added another fantastic recruit. We always ask our Certified Instructors to write a paragraph that gives us insight into the success of their student. Thomas Judkins wrote the best paragraph ever: “She has grit!” I would agree completely. Great job Thomas and Jil.

Congratulations to the New York representative, Massapequa Long Island, for winning to Little League Softball (12U) World Series today, the first ever championship for the state.
And, we have to mention one of our own, Alexis Fontana, who contributed mightily on the mound and at shortstop. We talked to our Certified Instructor on Long Island, Heather Pomilio, who teaches Alexis. after the game. She said, "I am so happy for them. They are a great group of kids and parents."

We enjoy the National High School Player of the Week feature from Extra Inning Softball, and were pleasantly surprised to see two of our own students as runners-up last week. Great job Bella Cross and Jil Livengood.
There is a good chance you will see Bella a few times in the future. Bella pitches for her Varsity team, but is only 8th grade (not a 2026 as stated in the article, but a 2027). Bella works with Abby Tincher Davis .Al .
Jil comes as no surprise to us, as we have watched her gain attention from many major programs as of late. The 2025 works with Thomas Judkins, Tiger Tom's Fastpitch] .
We are so proud of you both, and we know this is just the beginning.

What could be more perfect than a perfect game? Knowing you still have 2-1/2 seasons to collect even more. We enjoyed hearing about high school sophomore, Brooklyn Arneault, collecting her first perfect game.
The Poquoson High School student threw just 70 pitches to collect 11 K's, bringing her four game ERA to .519. Her Certified Instructor, Thomas Judkins, is excited to keep an eye on this one.
We are proud of you both at Tincher Pitching Development Systems. Still Training Professionals to Train Champions.

She has been there and done that. Abby Tincher Davis, of Alabama, is our Instructor of the Week. The second daughter in the family, and the second D1 college pitcher in that family, Abby, literally, grew up in the game. She had a couple of key people who were a big influence, her dad and older sister.
Abby is turning out D1 prospects at an unbelievable rate. We asked her what advice she would give to a kid with big dreams, “The best advice I can give is to set clear goals, and surround yourself with people who can get you there.”
Abby says it is so sad to see athletes fall short because they get advice from people who very little track record of developing athletes at the highest levels. “I hear a ton of young ladies tell me they want to play in college, but very few can tell me step-by-step how they plan to achieve them. If you don’t know where to start, get with someone (your instructor, for example) that knows the important steps to achieve your goals, and write them down. You’d be surprised how much easier it is to succeed when you know what you’re aiming for.”
Having grown up around people who could guide her, Abby says, This is also why, if your pitcher is serious about her goals, it’s extremely important to keep a close eye on who you’re surrounding her with. Are her coaches really qualified to help her get there? Do not be afraid to ask who they have developed. What is their track record? Who are you taking advice from? These are very important questions to ask yourself, not just in coaches but with private instructors.”
Great advice from our Instructor of the Week, Abby Tincher Davis in Alabama. Tomorrow, as we conclude this series, Abby talks about the things that fuel her fire when it comes to developing students.
As Instructors we see regular warning signs that our athletes are mentally struggling. It is far more than a performance issue, far more, and we often leave lessons truly frightened by the way kids are overwhelmed by the pressure they feel. Dr. Chrissy Semler prepared a special article for us that should be shared with every softball parent. If you feel that you do not need to read the article, you probably need it most. Please read and share. TincherPitching.com/articles/
