Full transparency, I love coloring hair. And it’s something that I know I’m good at. I have only been in this industry for a short time. But I feel that the creative and fun side of it has slowly dwindled away and I’m left feeling extremely defeated after my days in the salon. This job is emotionally draining and It. Is. Hard. You have to be tough and confident in this career but when you’re being beaten down by clients and having to accept that people won’t believe your truth in those situations, it’s hard to feel any kind of confidence within yourself. Defending yourself is hard as a hair stylist, basically impossible. I don’t know what the future holds for me in this industry, but I know either way it’s for the best.
