As I reflect on the past decade of serving you at Silly Scissors, I am filled with a mix of emotions as I announce my decision to step away from the chair indefinitely. This decision has not been made lightly, but after much contemplation and prayer, I am confident it is the right one for me and my family.
When I first embarked on this venture a decade ago, little did I know the profound impact it would have on my life. Motivated by my own experiences as a parent of a child with special needs, I entered this business with a heart filled with empathy and a desire to make a difference. It has been an honor and privilege to witness so many children conquer their fears of haircuts and to play a part, however small, in their journey of growth.
However, at this juncture, my attention and focus must be directed towards my son, Trevor. As I devote myself to homeschooling him and nurturing his development, I realize that it is time for me to prioritize my family's needs. While I will deeply miss the daily interactions with each of you, I am comforted by the memories we have created and the relationships we have forged over the years.
I am immensely grateful for your trust, support, and camaraderie throughout this remarkable journey. Your loyalty and friendship have been the driving force behind my passion for this profession, and for that, I will always be indebted to each and every one of you.
Although I may no longer be behind the chair, please know that I am not saying goodbye, but rather, see you later. I eagerly anticipate staying connected and hearing about the continued growth and achievements of your children. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you ever need anything or simply wish to catch up.
In the meantime, I want to assure you that I have not made this decision without careful consideration for your ongoing care. It brings me great pleasure to introduce you to Anida Darda, a talented stylist who will be taking over my role at Silly Scissors. Anida is a seasoned professional with 22 years of experience, a heart for God, and a genuine love for children. I am confident that she will continue to provide the same level of care and expertise that you have come to expect from Silly Scissors.
Anida has already been warmly welcomed into our salon family and is currently working on the days when I am off. I anticipate that I will still be available for back-to-school haircuts, but by the start of the school year on August 8, 2024, I will be phased out completely.
I want to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for entrusting your children to me over the years. It has been an absolute honor to serve you at Silly Scissors, and I am humbled by your continued loyalty and support.
Thank you for choosing Silly Scissors and allowing me to be a part of your lives. May God bless you abundantly, and may your children continue to grow and thrive.

We did this amazing Santa Experience last year and it was so special for my kids. The portraits were amazing! A few spots have recently opened. Get them before they're gone. I promise you won't regret it!

After much consideration, my husband and I have decided that it's in our best interest that I cut back on my working hours in order to be more available to our children. This is such a bittersweet transition for me. While I love my job and the clients that I work with, I look forward to spending more time with my own kids. With that said, after August 16th, I will no longer be working afternoons and Saturdays. My new hours will consist of Tues-Thurs between 9:00 am-2:30 pm. I will continue my usual business hours for the duration of this summer and leading up to 'Back to School' time. I sincerely apologize to anyone who is inconvenienced by this decision. I am extremely grateful for your support over the years. But, this time, I need to put my own family first. If you would like recommendations on hair salons for the future, I'd be happy to help.

First of all, I would like to thank my loyal customer base who has allowed me to enjoy such a fulfilling hobby/career as I approach my 4th anniversary in business. Your satisfaction is very important to me and I hope that I have been successful in providing you with excellent customer service. Without your satisfaction and support, I cannot continue to do what I love.

With the decline in the oilfield, I have put off increasing prices for 2 years. Unfortunately, the cost of living continues to increase around us. It is at this time that I've decided to minimally increase my prices. Attached is my new 2018 pricing. I wish you all a very blessed and happy new year. I look forward to the coming year.
