Very excited to be back at the Birmingham Winter Markt running the new & improved Cheer Tent this weekend! 🎅🏼🎄🧑🏻‍🎄

CCS Detroit members & friends will be serving beverages all weekend long to help spread holiday cheer and fundraise for Christ Child programs. We encourage you to stop by!

The Cheer Tent will be bigger and better this year thanks to a partnership with . We will have updated festive decorations, heaters, TVs, holiday music, tasty drinks, and a jolly good time.

This year, The Cheer Tent will be located on Martin St., just north of the Shain Park playground.

See the magic of the holidays at the Birmingham Winter Markt with local artists, vendors, ice sculptures, music, carriage rides and the big man himself, Santa Claus!

Remember: Christmas Tree Lighting is at 6 pm!

Night of Angels is always a special evening, however, this year’s event proved to be even more touching than ever.

We were blessed with the presence of keynote speaker Lyshon Davis, who is a former Christ Child House resident. Now a paralegal, Lyshon shared her story of being separated from her sister at just 8 years old. CCH a staff and volunteers helped Lyshon transform her story of tribulations into triumph.

& were awarded with the Mary Virginia Merrick award for continuing to give their talents and expertise to make CCS Detroit a better place. Thanks Katie & Ron - we are lucky to have you on our team!

Lastly, everyone in attendance helped raise a whopping 6 figures the night of the event! What a night!

From the 52 card raffle to heads & tails, it certainly was a fun and energetic evening celebrating all of the wonderful happenings at Christ Child Society. Thank you for your support!

The CCS Detroit Literacy Program resumed yesterday as 20 volunteers assembled at Walt Whitman Elementary in Pontiac for story time, arts & crafts, and snack time.

The Literacy Program meets once a month at Walt Whitman for programming during the school year.

So much fun at school - we can’t wait until next month!

The biggest night of the year is just around the corner!

Come dance to the tunes of Good Gravy, listen to a former Christ Child House resident speak about her life changing experiences, and participate in both silent and live auctions!

Another absolutely fantastic Christ Child Golf Outing is in the books after a super time on the links at yesterday!

82 golfers braved the elements with great drives, chips and putts all day long while ultimately coming together as a group to support Christ Child Detroit programs.
