We are excited to announce that Unger Farms has recently bought The Egg Drop from Amy and Brian. 🥳

Unger Farms started supplying fresh berries to Egg Drop earlier this year. We have been interested in ways to get our berries straight to customers and Egg Drop was a perfect partnership. Over the summer, Amy and Brian were interested in transferring the business and we decided to keep it going. Our family have been farmers for over 100 years in Oregon and as the fourth generation of Ungers takes over, we are looking for ways to make farm fresh produce and local businesses more accessible for families.

We are working with Amy and Brian to transition their chickens and new chicks have already arrived at our farm so we can keep farm fresh eggs going. Chickens and eggs have been a mainstay of our family farm for years. We are also excited about continuing to partner with Schoch Dairy, our kids have already started to drink their strawberry and chocolate milk on a regular basis.

We are excited about this new adventure for our family farm, please reach out with questions and join us today!

If you bake with ripe berries here is a tip you must from you must read
💡
“Oh, Amy, btw -- I made a strawberry galette with my last batch of berries.

Helpful hint if your other customers bake pastries with your (very juicy) fruit. Baking freeform on a metal baking sheet w parchment paper allows bottom crust to brown & crisp up (unlike glass or most metal pie pans) and if you dust a couple of tablespoons of almond flour over the bottom crust before piling the fruit in, it will prevent the juice from escaping the pastry & making a mess and also drying out the filling.”

The long awaited strawberry milk is here and for a limited time only! 🍓🥛
I hope you are as excited as I am! It tastes exactly like childhood 😋
Available for delivery starting this week!

mmmmm, eggs.

Our family loves farm fresh eggs. The eggs from the grocery store are never as good. EVER.

Like many suburbanites, we "had a friend" and we would get eggs from them. Then they stopped having extra eggs. S**t.

We scoured Craigslist and most eggs were 45 minutes+ away...plus it's craigslist, if ya' know what I mean, and it was never “fun”.

Mr. & Mrs. Egg Drop frequently drive the back raods from Tualatin to Hillsboro and would see “fresh egg” signs. Never at a point when we could just stop, beacuse we had somewhere to be or soon-to-be unhappy kids in the car which is not time to test the limits of a 2-year olds happiness. So, we’d venture back on a Friday afternnon or Saturday and get some eggs.
