Our operation is located in Edgar, WI 54426. We operate a vermiculture business, producing and selling worm castings. All natural crop & plant fertilizer.
We feed the worms, they do their work, we collect it. Feed it to your plants & crops! Every company has its start somewhere. For us, it was with 10 pounds of red wigglers in a downstairs, cool and dry room, with perfect growing conditions for our little buddies. We like to have fun, so we initially thought we should give them all names. We soon found out there was no way to keep their little name
tags on, and gave up on that idea. The bins where they live (shown on our profile photo), are marked and numbered so that feeding and harvesting of the castings is done in an organized, carefully mapped out system. The equipment used to harvest the castings (a process of removing the worms and food from the casting), was hand-fabricated by one of our owners. The harvester saves us lots of time and keeps the system moving smoothly. The worms eat their weight in food every week. Worms feed off of decomposing materials. We work tirelessly to provide a healthy, natural environment for the worms to flourish. We gather, grind and water their food. We also turn the bedding, food and worms to keep the production healthy. Then we weigh out the castings, bag them, label them and prepare them to deliver to our wonderful customers.
