Scott Whitney first graced the CAST Theatre stage as part of the Barbershop Quartet in THE MUSIC MAN. Since that memorable debut, Scott has become a cornerstone of our community, contributing his talents both onstage and behind the scenes. From running sound for countless shows to embodying iconic roles like Gomez in THE ADDAMS FAMILY, Daddy Warbucks in ANNIE, Doolittle in MY FAIR LADY, and Edward Bloom in BIG FISH, Scott’s passion for theater shines through in everything he does.

As the Program Director of CAST Kidz and CAST Academy of Performing Arts, Scott continues to share his love for theater with the next generation of performers, nurturing and guiding them as they discover their own talents.

Reflecting on his journey, Scott says, "I am thankful for a program such as CAST that allows me to be creative, inspire children, entertain people, and share joy from the stage. My greatest moment was sharing the stage with my daughter Ramsey in Annie. I was proud to be her Daddy Warbucks!"

Do you love working with kids and have a passion for the performing arts? CAST Kidz is looking for two enthusiastic and responsible interns to join our team!

**Internship Details:**
- **Position:** Paid Intern (2 positions available)
- **Responsibilities:** Assist directors during rehearsals and work closely with kids in our performing arts classes.
- **Requirements:** Must be 18 years or older.
- **Dates:** July 15th - October 6th
- **Show Dates:** October 4th - 6th
- **Hours:** 4-6 hours a week (Mondays 4:00-7:00 and some Sunday afternoons and/or Saturday mornings).

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the world of performing arts while making a positive impact on young performers.

Help us wish our CAST Academy of Performing Arts students a huge BREAK A LEG as they compete at the Alabama Youth Theatre Experience. They will perform their show “Oklahoma!” today at 5pm!!

CAST Kidz is in search of two interns (18+) for our upcoming Finding Nemo session. We're seeking individuals with a background in performing arts who love working with children. The commitment involves Mondays, 4:00-7:00, from January 29 to April 15, with additional hours during tech week (April 6-15, mostly 4-9 pm). Responsibilities include assisting directors with younger cast members both in class and backstage. If interested, please send us a PM!

The cost per student is $50 monthly with a $30 registration fee (covers materials and a show shirt) and $10 monthly facility fee. Sibling discounts and scholarship assistance is available based on need. Class will begin on January 22nd and auditions will take place during class on February 5th. All roles are open for audition by any student registered in the class regardless of age and experience.
