You may have noticed that I’ve quietly transitioned from the jars into bundt cakes, and this change is here to stay. I loved the jars, but it was time to move in a new direction - which is ironically a very familiar route. First thing I ever learned how to bake was a 10 egg pound cake, and it’s safe to say I’ve put my thang down, flipped it and reversed it. These bundts I’ve been baking would make any grandma proud.

June 1, 2019 marked 3 years since I started this baking thang, and the most important lesson I’ve learned is that the journey is not a sprint, but a marathon. There will be starts, stops, ebbs, and flows and you just gotta ride that wave until you reach your final destination.

After a 18 month hiatus, I did a soft pop-up sale a few weeks back with bigger jars and new flavors (peep the Red Velvet and Cookies & Cream joint 🤤). I’ve appreciated taking time off from baking to heal, play around in the kitchen and create new things. I’m still in that space of letting this venture develop naturally, but who knows, if spirit moves me I might do another Bre-order sometime this year.
The best part about being an adult is I didn’t have to wait until after church to get into this Brown Butter Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler.
I’ve been craving a cobbler but didn’t have the energy or patience to make the dough. (It be like that sometimes)
Thankfully my mama has been sending me recipes that I used to bake when I was in the 4th/5th grade and this timeless classic was a hit.
Added a lil cashew milk ice cream and coconut whipped cream because this is a day that the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad it came. Happy Easter 🥰
Your message has honestly inspired me to get back in the kitchen just because I love baking and sharing that feeling with others. Thank you for teaching me the value of running a marathon. You know how it goes, practice makes perfect and these and Cookie Monster inspired Cookies & Cream Cupcakes are an example of just that. The flavor is on point, but I wouldn’t expect anything less from a recipe. But due to a lack of food processor or rolling pin, the cookie crumbs were too thick to pipe all pretty, and I’m still trying to figure out how to make a fluffy dairy free buttercream 😫. All in all, I’ve murked at least two of these thangs and will be going in for another review soon. Research of course 😜
When the urge to create strikes sometimes you just have to run with it. Testing out a pound cake recipe - this one comes from and is pretty damn tasty (because I couldn’t wait and had to slice it warm from the oven 😬). There’s a few tweaks I’d make and a few other recipes I plan to try before calling this my staple, but so far a slice of this Velvet (plant-based) Cream Cheese Poundcake, topped with strawberries and coconut whipped cream is hitting the spot.
Due to a family tragedy and being trapped by my thesis - the jars are on pause until further notice. I appreciate all of you that have hit me up for jars for Valentine's Day/Black Panther but I just can't do it. As always thank you for your patience. The best way to stick to your new year, new you fitness plans: after the sweets are gone use the leftover jar(s) for portioned control snacks. You'll stay on track to getting it right and tight - but when cheat day comes you know who to call! 😜
Dr. King left us with so many gems and it's up to us to do our individual part to fulfill his legacy. We can do this in our day to day living, in our interactions with strangers, our friend circles, professional networks and business practices. Social justice and economic inequality are still issues that we are fighting today. It is my dream to create a business that brings awareness to these issues and work with individuals from marginalized backgrounds. It is my hope that God uses me to fulfill a purpose greater than myself and uses my dream to fulfill his. ❤️🙏🏿

I graduated from San Jose State University in 2013 with a degree in public relations. During my time as a student/employee in marketing roles I fell in love with the graphic design program at SJSU and the work produced by students. Fast forward to 2017, while in pre-incubation with I was connected to a woman who was a graduate of the graphic design program. It took about 6-8 months for this logo to come together but babbbbbyyy Miss Veronica exceeded all of my expectations of bringing my brand/business and personality together and I couldn't be happier.
