Learning and understanding chemistry is important because more and more careers are requiring students to take college chemistry. Research indicates that often students that register for their first year college inorganic chemistry class drop out after the first few weeks. Why? These students drop out because they were not properly prepared to take chemistry at the college level. Taking a solid, math-based chemistry course is a good idea if a homeschool student has college aspirations that include needing to take chemistry. There is nothing more frustrating than wanting to pursue a career but not having been prepared for that first college chemistry class. Your student needs to be ready and prepared. Check out Chemexplained.com and try chapter 1 for free!
We hope you are having a great start to a new year! We live in an amazing world. There is always something new to learn. Learning and understanding chemistry is important because more and more college careers are requiring students to take college chemistry. Colleges record (but don’t always report) that some students that register for their first year inorganic chemistry classes and second year organic chemistry classes drop out after the first few weeks. These students drop out because they were not properly prepared to take chemistry at the college level. Taking a solid, math-based chemistry course is a good idea if a homeschool student has college aspirations. We know how often one can change their mind so by taking a chemistry class in high school you are making sure that your student is prepared for the next step whatever that may be and for whenever they decide. http://chemexplained.com
We remember on Memorial Day. Land of the free....home of the brave. 🇺🇸

We at ChemExplained are thankful today for those brave patriots who signed the Declaration of Independence. As we reflect today we count it a privilege to celebrate an America that is "one nation under God". Enjoy your day celebrating today!
One of the strengths of ChemExplained.com is that it is a one year high school chemistry course that can be adapted for your student. This class is designed to meet the needs of the honors student, the traditional student and the foundational student. We know not all students learn the same way or enter chemistry with the same enthusiasm. Therefore, as a parent you can talk with Mr. Riz and learn how this class can best meet your student's needs. Just this week Mr. Riz spoke with a mother and found a plan within our program that would match her daughter's learning style and academic needs. Remember with ChemExplained.com ......it comes with a teacher!
”Home of the free because of the brave”. Wishing you a day of remembrance and blessings.

Did you know that ChemExplained.com
works great in a high school co-op setting? If you are a teacher in a co-op looking for a great high school chemistry course with labs contact us at [email protected] for more information. Students have a teacher in Mr. Riz all week long which helps facilitate learning. Students can listen to their on demand online videos, fill in their notes sheets and do their work sheets at home. Then they can come to class once a week to ask questions, review problems and do their labs. This is a win-win situation for both the teacher and student. Teachers who use our program report it has made a world of difference in the amount of curriculum they are able to cover thus preparing the student for the next step.
In Minnesota everything is covered in white snow! It really is beautiful! This morning we woke up to minus 26 degrees. So here is wishing our ChemExplained students and their families a happy, healthy and warm New Year. It is a great day for hot chocolate!
Merry Christmas to your family from our family! We trust you are having a wonderful Christmas celebrating the birth of our Savior!
Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!
At ChemExplained.com our goal is to make sure your student is well prepared for that next step. When choosing a Chemistry curriculum for your student you need to ask yourself what is that next step for my student. If it is to be prepared for schooling after high school then they need a math based chemistry curriculum. Too many parents have told us how their student took a "kitchen chemistry" course and then had to drop out of college chemistry resulting in them changing their college major. So send your student off to college prepared! ChemExplained.com will EXPLAIN the math to your student thru 365 teaching videos. They are not given a book to sit in front of and expected to figure it out on their own....AND they have access to the teacher if and when they need help. The 18 virtual labs that can be done together is a bonus also. Let us know if you have any questions!
