Do you know what a miracle a child with Down syndrome is?
Did you know that only 20% of eggs with an extra 21st chromosome survive the first cell division?
Of that 20% only 20% survive to fertilization.
Of that 20% only 20% actually survive the first cell division following fertilization.
Do you know what that means? This child had a .8% survival rate from the very beginning.
And life was sustained. A true, extra special, one of a kind miracle.
