These showed up today, I don’t know if you have seen the BeatDown products, but they are awesome!!!
I have been looking for months at different mounting options for the new boat and the BeatDowns were far and away the best mounts I could find.
The Double and Single stack shorty are super heavy duty and have great features. I’m putting the Double stack on the front and the Single stack on the rear behind the livewell. The single stack is removable so I can take it off when I need to put the cover on. The double stack collapses far enough to fit under the cover without removing it. I’ll take pictures and a video of them after they are mounted in the boat. The LiveScope pole is very well made and removable, I can't wait to try it out.

Now I still have to decide on my two dash mounts for the 12” and 15” Hummingbirds.

Phases one and two are now complete of the Skeeter project of 2024
Phase one - Trolling motor on, Smooth Moves seats in and the Amped Lithium batteries installed.

Phase two - Wrap designed and installed on the boat.

Hopefully I’ll get time this weekend for phase 3, Wiring and mounting of the graphs.

We get asked all the time, do people catch fish on Lake Erie with your baits?? I’m going with a hard, YES!

Here are some pictures from 3 regular guy’s from Minnesota, Dan, Troy and Marc, (not Guide’s or Tournament fisherman) they were out there the last several days.

They fish Erie once a year, brought their Lund boat from Minnesota and just Crushed fish every day they went out.

All the fish came on the XTDR 6” Deep Divers or the XTSR 6” Shallow Suspending baits.

You can see some common colors that work very well on Erie.

Dan fry and a couple of MN guy’s went over to Erie yesterday, The 6” Coffin Bills and the XTDR 6” Deep divers were killing it.
18 fish in the box all on XTackle baits, here was a nice 27+ on a Coffin Bill.

We’ve been boat-less for a few years and it was past time to get a new one.
There are so many great boats to choose from; for this season we went with a new 2023 Skeeter WX2060.
The major factor for us was 3700 Box storage in the back of the boat, for anyone that has fished with me, I have no problem rotating a crankbait every 10 minutes.
Rule number 1, If you’re marking fish and not catching, it’s time to change the bait.
Now the fun begins, rigging the boat will take a few days, the plan is 3 Hummingbirds, and 2 Garmins.
I’ll repost after everything is mounted and after that I still have to figure out what to do about a wrap.
We’ll definitely be out on Mille Lacs or lake of the Woods a lot more this season.
If you see us stop by and say hi, we just might have a Crankbait or some Spin beads to toss your way.
