Spend your summer at the Nashville farmers market - Brown County Democrat The Nashville Farmers Market shook the dust off and stretched out the winter neck crick at the beginning of May and is scheduled to stay open until the last weekend of October. It is open on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Brown County Inn parking lot (51 E. State Road 46).

Many thanks to the customers at Nashville Indiana Farmer's Market who recommended tonight’s dinner from the garden: Szechuan Green Beans. They are completely delicious and simple to prepare. Just a few ingredients: fresh green beans, of course, chopped onion & garlic, soy sauce, chili crisp. Stir fry and enjoy. We sure did.

Thanks to the customer at Nashville Indiana Farmer's Market today who suggested we roast radishes. Tonight for dinner: roasted radishes, garlic scapes, and asparagus (we don’t have enough to share at the market yet) seasoned with salt pepper and homegrown paprika. Fresh is delicious!

Stonehouse Gardens is an organic micro-farm in Brown County, Indiana. We grow nutrient-dense produce and spirit-buoying flowers in harmony with nature – free of chemical herbicides, pesticides, and synthetic fertilizers. We believe what we eat, where our food comes from, and how we treat the Earth matter.
A family venture, Stonehouse Gardens is led by Nancy – head gardener, chief laborer, cancer survivor, and firm believer in the health and environmental benefits of organically-grown, fresh, local food. Scott provides manpower for the big jobs and devises solutions to whatever the problem may be. Together we are creating something we believe is truly meaningful.
