Spring Conference (formerly known as Rites of Spring) registration closes the 27th! We are so excited to see everyone there!

Recently, the youth of the diocese gathered for our EYC Convention LockIn. In just 24 hours, we:
-learned about the business of the church
-played games and had fun together
-elected the 2024-2025 Youth Department
-visited the and had a processing debrief with Bre Mitchell, our diocesan Missioner for Racial Healing and Pilgrimage
-attended Diocesan Convention (where we led morning prayer, got to chat with keynote speaker Jake Mulder, author of Growing Young, and got to see how resolution hearings work)

Special thanks to .k.redding and for being our Youth Delegates and representing us for the entirety of Diocesan Convention. And to for preaching at morning prayer!

It’s time for YD Elections!

The Youth Department (YD) consists of twelve high school youth chosen by their peers at our annual EYC Convention to represent the Episcopal Youth Community in the Diocese of Alabama.

This year, Youth Department elections will take place at the EYC Convention Lockin! The event will be held at St. John’s in Montgomery and we will be able to attend part of Diocesan Convention as part of the weekend as well as visit the Legacy Museum.

Our Province IV reps had an amazing time representing the Diocese of Alabama over the past weekend. Our reps had the chance to connect with youth throughout the province!

We are hoping to help our local animal shelters this holiday season- please bring blankets, beds,and toys to Christmas Conference! All animals deserve to feel at home for the holidays.
(At this time we are unable to accept dog food or treats. Please reach out to your local shelter if you are interested in donating these items.) Items will be taken up at check in.
