I’ve recently experienced a kind of confirmation of what I’ve been sensing. Unfortunately, but not necessarily surprising, there are “friends” and “family” who choose to recognize the work I’ve done to become a better human being. They still see me through the lens of pain I behaved through in the past rather than the lens of purpose I’m healing through.

I’ll just say this to everyone this applies too. You can keep looking through the lens that fits the narrative you choose to have of me and I’m going to continue to grow forward on purpose, with purpose, and for the purpose God has for me and leave you where you still see me! IN THE PAST!!!
