Orion with new owner Leah Majkrzak and daughter. Sad to leave his old farm but apparently happy in his new abode with Leah. We are wishing them both the best time of love and learning everything Orion has to teach.
Congrats to this pair!

Flying Beauty
2009 | Gelding | Polish Warmblood
Affectionately nicknamed "Big Red", Flying Beauty is a sweet 17.2hh warmblood gelding. He has shown up to 3rd level and is schooling 4th level movements and the beginnings of piaffe. He would be a nice horse for someone to earn their bronze and silver medals with and can go beyond there with continued education. He loves shows and being the center of his person's attention.

----------------------------------------
Dressage horse breeding breakdown for Tokyo 2021 OLYMPICS. Made public for if you wish to share.
Observations-
Firstly, Portugal and Mexico have Lusitanos and there is one French Anglo. I know a little about French Anglo arabians (and interestingly it was by Matcho, a stallion we know well in dressage breeding) but know nothing about Lustinanos so can't really comment there. Otherwise, dressage horses are very much bred for dressage! It's exciting to see so many purpose bred horses with familiar names.
I was surprised by a few things. Firstly, much less Donnerhall dominance than there used to be. It's kind of inevitable, but there are only a couple of direct descendants even of his sons, though obviously there was tonnes of Donnerhall blood on the damline.
There was also far less Rubinstein, Florestan, and Weltmeyer blood than we used to see, so you can really see that the old stars are now firmly on the motherline but are nowhere near as dominant as they once were. Jazz however has not faded and was well represented by his sons and daughters, as were Donnerhall and Florestan once you dug a little.
It was also quite cool to see some of the hot young guys represented by direct children- Ampere, Apache, Bordeaux, Furstenball, Hotline ... it's exciting to see stallions that breeders took a bet on years ago producing the goods and entering the world stage.
The two biggest things though- tonnes of Dutch blood. Totilas and Negro have made their mark, but so have Gribaldi and Easy Game for trakehners. Jazz is I would say more directly dominant at this stage than Donnerhall, and there is lots of Krack C and Ferro blood. The UK team is entirely Dutch, as obviously is NDL, and KWPN are scattered throughout.
The biggest surprise though? Sandro Hit. The entire US team is made up of Sandro Hit descendants. A son, a grandson, and a great grandson. All of them crossed with Donnerhall mares. I counted FOURTEEN horses where Sandro Hit was right up the top of their pedigree either on the sire or damsire line. One is even linebred- San Amour x Sir Donnerhall. Sandro Hit may even have more dominance in breeding at these games than Jazz. I counted 10 horses with Jazz up close on sire/dam sire line.
It was nice to see the prevalence of old faithful sires like Brentano and Rubinstein and even De Niro on the damline of quite a few horses.
I didn't include the reserve horses because I was beginning to feel as though my eyes were going to explode, and I also didn't go beyond damsire, though further analysis there would be interesting. Apologies for any incorrect information, I did my best to cross check where possible, but I'm sure there are some mistakes.

JP Zepona is a product of our Iberian Sporthorse breeding program and an excellent example of great character, easy trainability and good, comfortable gaits. She is a reformed broodmare prospect, bred at Baroque Farms USA. She is by JP Orion out of a PRE mare.
80 training sessions, including 40 under saddle since coming from the field totally green. All training done by Cedar.
She was sold to an amateur who bought her with Zepona only knowing basic handling skills. She was left with us for the spring to be started and advanced. Zepona will be heading off soon to begin her adventures with her wonderful new owners!
