20 years ago I was the person who was desperately running around from appointment to appointment to trying desperately to get rid of nagging neck, back and hip pain.
I was a young mom with 2 kids under 3 and I lost in diapers, laundry and responding to other peopleâs needs.
It wasnât until I injured my back (on top of the already nagging pain issues) leaving me with severe pain that stopped me from picking up my kids or even being able to sit, stand or move without significant discomfort that I resolved to figure a way out of pain.
I discovered how essential it was to uncover and fix the cause of pain instead of doing all the things that were only treating symptoms. I also discovered the powerful connection between posture and pain. From there, I eliminated my pain.

We are all human. Feeling grumpy, stress, low energy can happen. But what is important is not to linger there. But the key is to take action especially when you donât feel like it to change your state.

đMeditation. Try a guided meditation. Start with just 5 minutes.

đGratitude. Write down at least 3 things that you are grateful for. Make it a daily practice.

I began to adapt my activities and started to be less active. Movement always had brought me joy so this felt so limiting and a little depressing.
I remember feeling guilty because I didnât want to pick up my kids or nurse my baby because it hurt.
And I felt overwhelmed and frustrated going to different appointments that were not creating lasting results.
Then I learn about the importance of getting to the root cause of pain rather than treating symptoms. And I discovered that my posture was directly related to my pain. As I restored my posture and muscle function my chronic pain began to disappear.
Within a couple of months I was a new person - no more discomfort and limitation. I was able to return to my favorite activities with no fear of pain.
