I started beekeeping as a hobby. I set up my one hive on April 17, 2013, following in the footsteps of my father and older brother. I. Description of the Active Ingredient
Formic acid is an irritating pungent liquid at room temperature. Ants are known to produce formic acid, which helps protect them from predators. Some birds take advantage of the ant's chemical defense by placing live ants in their feathers to rid themselves of mites. When used in beehives as directed, the formic acid pesticide product acts by directly killing the mites, while not substantially disrupting bee behavior or life span. Honeybees play a vital role in pollinating agricultural crops, as well as home gardens and ornamental crops.

Family-Owned, Family Tradition
I started beekeeping as a hobby. I set up my one hive on April 17, 2013, following in the footsteps of my father and older brother. I didn’t get any honey that year, or the year after that, or the year after that, or the year after that. Finally, in 2016, I extracted about 30 pounds of honey from my hive.
In 2017, I got the chance to expand to two hives and 2019 and 2020, I have worked with three hives. I keep them in the family garden in my backyard, and my wife and I keep plenty of flowers around for them. I also recently installed a solar-powered fountain that the bees use for water breaks.
In the years since I started beekeeping, I have been able to learn about how bees work and share my honey with friends, family and neighbors. I also had the opportunity in March 2018 to give a talk about beekeeping at Pinterest’s Chicago office and in 2019 I went to the San Francisco Pinterest Headquarters for a talk. Now, I would like the opportunity to share my honey with you.
