Why yes, that is a new bourbon from Three Notch'd Distilling 😉

Introducing Stave & Stout, a small-batch Virginia Whiskey finished in our very own Biggie Stout barrels - a unique process that is the perfect collaboration and celebration of those who set the path for our distillery to follow!

During the six-month finishing period, the essence of the Stout barrels intermingle with the whiskey, imparting notes of roasted malt, chocolate, and espresso. Enhanced further by the oak, which gives it notes of caramel and vanilla!

Stave & Stout is available over the bar in your favorite cocktails (or neat) and in bottles for purchase at all Three Notch'd Distilling locations! We hope you enjoy and please PLEASE let us know what you think!

This German Sour Ale becomes an American quencher with the addition of Watermelon puree from California. The tart, salty, sourness coming from a process called kettle-souring with lactobacillius, giving the beer a dry crisp quality is a perfect sunshine complement to the watermelon puree added at the end of the process!

Last month, their brilliant Head Brewer Jake Harper made his way to our Charlottesville HQ to brew with Dave — fun fact: between the two of them they’ve got 42 YEARS of brewing experience. An EXTRA fun fact: Jake made sure to pack his expert knowledge of water chemistry to make sure ‘Totally Pine’ was as crisp and refreshing beer as it deserved to be. You’ve GOT to have that ideal pH/mineral content - water is 95% of beer!

The pair ended up settling on a classic piney IPA w/ tons of dank goodness coming from Chanook hops (west coast represent!) and classic Simcoe. Super citrusy. Classic American.

‘Totally Pine’ will be available for purchase in 16oz 4-packs FIRST to our Fresh Beer Club members, and then to anyone that stops in! 12oz cans will be rotating into our ‘Wild Hop’ variety packs (if they’re not there already), which you can find throughout Virginia stores!

Cool happenings ! Brewmaster Rob will be LEADING A 10 DAY TOUR to Germany this coming October and he wants YOU to come along with him!

Rob and cultural liaison Jessica will be setting out on a personalized exploration of Potsdam, Leipzig, and Berlin from Oct. 4th - 10th. Partake in daily beer adventures, indulge in the sights, sounds, and delicacies of the region, and deep-dive into the best of everything eastern German culture has to offer!
