More ❤️ cakes!! I love this one with some vintage/lambeth piping around the sides. And cherries on top! So sweet. I love it. Who needs a heart cake for Valentine’s Day?
I ❤️heart cakes!!!! Love this trend … keep ‘em coming!
Could you imagine a better cake for a professional landscaper? This cake was so much fun … and so much work. Any guesses what took the most time? (See answer below) …
If you guess those ROCKS you guessed correctly. Phew those rocks took a long time to make and then a long time to put on the cake like their own little puzzle with no picture for reference. 🤪
This is not my original design and I’d love nothing more than to give the original artist credit. Unfortunately there is no watermark and it was posted on a forum and the username had no profile. Whoever you are, thank you for the design.
🎼 I can’t hold it back anymore 🎶
I love making sugar flowers! It’s such a satisfying process watching something come to life. I did a 4 part series of me making all these flowers, you can check it out on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/?_t=8gD0QeNCXbK&_r=1
And if your wondering why anyone would choose sugar flowers over real flowers, or visa versa, see my video talking about the pros and cons of each! See here: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPR7Dckht/
This has to be a double announcement so please read all the way through.
First announcement (see 1st pic): I’ll be making my second appearance on the Food Network this fall! I was honored to compete again with and I loved getting to know . These are amazing women and bakers (attention anyone who lives in AZ, these are your ladies). Air times will be listed below.
Second announcement (see 2nd pic): this show was shot about a year ago. I was one year postpartum and had just made it through the most challenging year of my life where I spent exactly 0 minutes taking care of myself or my health. After my daughter turned one, I made a promise to myself that in my 2nd year of motherhood, I would make more time to take care of myself. I’ve made good on that promise and have lost 40 pounds since this show was taped (and this promotional photo was taken). I wouldn’t normally make a social media announcement about this, but when you’ve worked as hard as I have to make big changes in your life … and now have to go on international television as a version of yourself that no longer exists … well … I felt an announcement was necessary.
Okay, all that said … Watch us on this fall! Our show air date is Sunday, October 15 on Food Network Canada
U.S. viewers: Look for us on Monday, October 23 at 11 p.m. ET/7pm PST on Food Network!
For when you’re Thirty, Flirty and Thriving.

A sweet cake for a Sweet 16 garden party.
This cake was an “ode to chocolate” for the biggest chocolate cake lover ever known, my sweet godmother Elizabeth who passed from ALS in 2020. This cake was for her memorial last year. It’s not a cake I ever wanted to make, but it’s also an honor to help celebrate a life so worthy of celebrating.
Rest in Peace Betty Boop. 😘
This cake was a labor of love to my sweet baby. My now 1 year old baby girl, Tatiana. I love you, you will always be “one in a melon” to me 🍉

On the 4th of July we celebrated my silly cat-loving nephew Lars’ 7th birthday. I made the last minute decision to make a cake for him. I did a quick Google Image search for “cat cakes” and looked over them with him. Of course it quickly became clear that he wanted a 3D sculpted replica of his own cat, Ozzy. 🤦♀️😂🤪
I was so happy I could make this happen for him. Happy (super belated) birthday my sweet Larsy!
Give me all the texture!! Yaaass! From afar this may look like a “simple white wedding cake” but with two cake shapes (square and round) and this gorgeous fondant stone texture … it’s anything but.
A little backstory on the making of this cake … it was back in early March. Most of this cake was made in the weeeee hours of the night as I was sleep training my daughter. It gave me something to do those first few nights when it was so painful to listen to her cry. It was all worth it! This cake is gorgeous - and my daughter sleeps like a champ! Win win!

Happy pride!
All love deserves celebrating. All couples always welcome here. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
I’m back! Well, I’ve been back for a while … but I’m a bit OCD and I like to post pictures of cakes in the order in which I actually did them. In this case, it took me a while to get the photo from the photographer. So here we are, 5 months later! Maybe my OCD system needs some retooling 🤣
This beauty was done in January, the week Chinese New Year for a wedding reception celebration (as with many post-Covid couples, they got married a while back and we’re just able to celebrate!) I love learning about other people’s culture and hope I did the Chinese characters for Double Happiness justice.

This was my very first cake back from maternity leave. At the time my daughter was just 4 months and sleep was but a faint memory. Getting this bad boy done was a quite a feat at the time but was nice to get back into the rhythm.
Lots of exciting things on the horizon but that is for another post.

My little mini cake is 1 month old! Definitely the best thing I ever baked.

Tatiana Elizabeth is here! Born September 15. All 6 lbs, 19 inches of her are healthy and perfect. My life is forever changed for the better.
Last delivery and last wedding for a while. The oven timer on this mini cake is going off very soon! So glad she stayed in for me to get this cake done and delivered. Thank you for having my back in case she didn’t!! Again it was so wonderful so see so many friendors that I haven’t seen in so long … , and all the gals at . See you all again soon!
Remember that song … 🎶What does the fox say?🎶 Well it’s in my head, now it’s in yours. 😜
I will never not love a bright white cake against the floor to ceiling aquarium at the Aquarium of the Pacific!
This cake was lots of fun to make because I almost never get to make sugar flowers but when I do it’s very special. It’s one of my favorite things to do. This cake was a perfect candidate … because the bride really wanted navy blue roses and peonies. And you know what? Those don’t exist in real life, but they do in sugar! With sugar flowers any color of any variety regardless of reality or season can be brought to life.

Yet another couple that finally got to have their special day! I love that there aren’t any “rules” for wedding cakes anymore. Want black painted buttercream on your cake? I’m here for it! This cake should represent you both, throw the rule book out the door.

Did someone say cooooooookies??? OMG, right about now I could smash every single one of these cookies into my pregnant face! I’ve been eating very healthy, but my sugar cravings have gone through the roof as I’m getting to the end here. Give me all the coooookies!!! 🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪
To all of our men and women in uniform, and to the families that support them, I say thank you.
This was the first of many (hooray!) wedding cakes that FINALLY got to come to life after COVID postponed it many times. It felt surreal and exciting to be actually delivering to a venue. You could tell everyone was happy even behind our masks. And the most happy, of course, was this bride and groom who finally got to celebrate! Congrats to you both 💗

Mini cake update! She is baking nicely and has 5 more weeks in the oven. I’m way behind in posting cake photos, I vow to get caught up before taking a few months off for maternity leave. Then get ready for some baby spam!
Pregnancy is a wild journey. It’s getting harder and harder to stand for long periods of time. I’ve had a couple grueling weeks in a row, so I’m happy to be taking this weekend off for my baby shower and letting my body have some rest.
These beautiful photos are by the amazing and hair/makeup by . It’s so great to have such talented friendors to tap into!
Backyard weddings really went up a notch during COVID! When there is no planner or venue or photographer on vendor team, you really don’t know what to expect walking into a delivery. This was a pleasant surprise! I had to get creative with the pipe and drape to get the cake out of direct sun (always a challenge if the cake is outside) with the help of a super sweet housekeeper who was the only one there when I arrived and only spoke Spanish. Between our broken English and broken Spanish we somehow communicated and got it done! Always an adventure 😀
Every year for my nephews birthdays, I take the opportunity to try something new, a little crazy, a little risky. My nephew Lars is currently obsessed with dragons, so I knew I wanted to make this cake from Sugar Geek Show’s portfolio of amazing tutorials. It was a fun challenge that took way more time than I anticipated, but I learned a lot and I’m very proud of how it turned out! The birthday boy said it was “okay.” 🤦♀️I guess I’m to blame, the kid doesn’t know what a normal birthday cake looks like!!! After all, last year he had an exploding lava cake
“‘As you wish, of course, what he really meant was ‘I love you’” - William Goldman, The Princess Bride. This was one of the many quotes this couple selected to be used on the top tier of their wedding cake. I love it when couples really get interested and involved in making their cake hyper customized.
Also, this cake was so much fun to make and to DELIVER! This couple was supposed to get married in April 2020, it brought me much joy to finally make it for them and to see some of my favorite Long Beach vendors again after over a year!! We could have had our own little side party just catching up.

We all have our things that we love. For Eric, it’s sneakers and I hope he loved his sneaker cake. But is anyone else weirded out by eating a shoe?? Just me? Okay.
