I am very excited about our USA team for the 2024 Olympics. However, as I'm reading an article from , I realized these athletes go and represent our country with ZERO guarantees of compensation. Though I'm sure we all expect the USA WBB dominance to continue, there are still risk factors: health, finances, family matters, etc. What about other athletes representing our country in other sports? Per FOS, an unprecedented move by World Athletics, who governs Track and Field, will begin compensation for medaling, separate from what the country compensates. As a sprinter from LONG AGO, I LOVE this idea. It's a great move and I hope other agencies follow suit for all Olympians representing their respective countries. Their dedication to their sport should be recognized financially 👏🏿
