ABOUT CORBIN LANDSCAPING:

We’re a young and growing company. We like to have fun.

It’s become a clichĂ©, but let’s be real: A job only feels like a job if it’s boring. So, we do cool things: post-work barbeques, Bucks games, paintball, you name it. Having fun is just as important as getting the job done right.

We’re a high-quality residential landscaping and lawn care company looking for cool people to join and help build our team. Do you want to get in on the ground floor and help us grow our company? First, ask yourself if you connect with these values:

OUR VALUES: We have 3 core values:

QUALITY: When we leave a job site, we’re proud of the work we’ve done. Clients contact us with more compliments than complaints
COMMUNITY: Both clients and coworkers want to work with hardworking and empathetic people. We only hire people who we know will be a good fit for our company culture.
FUN: No one likes working with someone who’s in a bad mood. Right? We take pride in our work while making sure everyone has freedom to joke around.

WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS ROLE:

DRIVER’S LICENSE AND RELIABLE VEHICLE: While you may work from home, you still need to pick up some things from the office. And you need a driver’s license for that (because
. M’rica).

EXPERIENCE: Yes, we prefer for you to have a few years of experience in an administrative role (especially in the trades/service industry). If you don’t, no worries
it’s not a deal breaker for us.

TIME MANAGEMENT: You’re planning things out a week in advance and keep an organized calendar for your responsibilities.

SIMILAR VALUES- When you read about how our company is all about quality, community, and fun; you feel like we’re the perfect match.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL: Does that mustard stain on that guy’s shirt bother you? Good. You’re probably hypersensitive to small details and that’s okay. We need that. (We know, you can barely make it through the grammatical errors in this ad. We’re sorry to put you through this)

PROBLEM SOLVING: When an issue pops up, do you freak out? Or do you think of it like a challenging puzzle? Whether it be a breakdown in our system, communication, or a client is frustrated; you systematically figure it out.

ORGANIZATION: Your friends politely smile and nod when you obsessively explain spreadsheet formulas to them.

TECH SKILLS: You’re love learning about new software and could basically teach a class on MS office.

COMMUNICATION: Yeah, there is work to do, but spend some time genuinely connecting with clients and crew members. You humbly handle complaints from clients and rejoice with them when they’re stoked about how sweet their landscape looks.

SIDE NOTE: It helps A LOT if you can speak Spanish.

*These are often the most challenging parts of the job, please think this through and ask clarifying questions in the interview.

WHAT YOU DO:
You’re the face of the company. You find it immensely rewarding when you can make clients’ days with the way you answer their questions and offer solutions. A good spread of customer and employee interaction, excel spreadsheets, and implementing/improving systems keeps your mind flowing (never confined to one task for too long). A wave of relief embraces you when you just sent that articulate email and the unread emails in your inbox drop to “0”.

It feels good knowing you can make a stranger’s day. You get to blow clients away with your uniquely energetic personality both over the phone and email. You feel fulfilled when you hear a relieved client say, “Wow, thank you so much. This has been super helpful”. Sometimes, you need to crack the whip though. Let’s say that a client hasn’t paid their invoice forever. You call them and gracefully walk the tightrope between being polite while making sure they know that it’s time to pay up.

You’re as skillful as a communicator as you are a geek when it comes to organization. Finishing a spreadsheet with conditional formatting and custom formulas make you feel everything is under control. Do you find learning new programs as an exciting puzzle? You get paid extra to help us integrate new systems within our growing business. Pay for half of this year’s rent by implementing new systems. You are an expert at time management and can prioritize the tasks you set for yourself.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:
A leadership role in a high-quality, growing company
An energetic work environment
Freedom to offer feedback to your supervisors and to be heard.
Opportunities to work remotely (this may come after a few months of getting you situated with our systems in an office)
A flexible work environment (you need to pick up the kids at 4:00? We can work something out)
A great, supportive team. You’ll be given the tools you need to succeed at this position and will be supported by other experienced management.
A competitive paycheck
Medical, Dental, and Vision
$500 bonus to sign on (after 3 months)
