PRP is an autologous biologic derived from whole blood that is preferentially enriched with platelets and growth factors. It is commonly used to accelerate the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints.
PRP is prepared from the patient’s own blood - primarily platelets - which may help optimize the conditions for healing, improve inflammatory response, control infection and promote angiogenesis.

Acne is a common skin condition where oil, dead skin cells and bacteria clog your hair follicles. It comes in many forms including pimples, blackheads and whiteheads.
A research paper published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology by Dr. Michael Hesseler, et. al. in 2019 concluded “the addition of platelet-rich plasma provides improvements in acne scarring, higher patient satisfaction, and decreased postprocedure downtime.”

The Rotator cuff is a group of muscles and tendons that help stabilize the shoulder and allow it to move. Rotator cuff injuries are common and often caused by overuse or degenerative conditions.
An Arthoscopy research paper published by Dr. Cory Kwong, et. al. in 2020 concluded “Platelet-Rich Plasma in patients with partial-thickness rotator cuff tears or tendinopathy leads to significantly improved short-term pain relief.”

The Marrow Cellution™ (MC) maximizes stem and progenitor cell recovery while minimizing peripheral blood infiltration.
READ: A study conducted by Dr. Paul Torland and Dr. Daniel Kuebler using the Marrow Cellution™ device concluded, “The number of CFU-fs was comparable to, or surpassed, clinically relevant thresholds of CFU-f per mL established in the literature. MC allows the clinician to retain the process and product entirely on the sterile field. All cells and growth factors are retained in the MC aspirate and because of its minimal morbidity, a second aspiration site can be accessed if a greater volume is desired.”

Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) occurs when the elbow tendons are overused, often by playing sports or using certain tools. It can be quite painful.
A NCBI research paper published by Graham Hastie, et. al. in 2018 concluded “we consider PRP injection, for intractable lateral epicondylitis of the elbow, not only a safe but also very effective tool in reducing symptoms and have shown it has reduced the need for surgical intervention in this difficult cohort of patients.”

Anybody who has ever suffered from chronic or recurring back pain knows how debilitating the condition can be on your physical and mental well-being. Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD) and facet joint arthritis are two of the major causes of back pain. Orthobiologics like Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) has emerged as a very popular alternative treatment for back pain in recent years.

Plantar fasciitis is a condition caused by the inflammation of plantar fascia, a band of tissue connecting the heel to the toes. It can be quite painful.
A sports medicine injections review paper published by Dr. Adrian Le, et. al. in 2019 concluded “PRP injections are an effective treatment for improving pain and function in chronic plantar fasciitis and may be superior to corticosteroids, especially considering the complications of multiple corticosteroid injections that are not associated with PRP.”

The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is one of two ligaments that help stabilize your knee joint. ACL injuries often occur during sports, and range from mild (a small tear) to severe.
Studies have shown that PRP can accelerate the healing process, improve, stabilize and strengthen the joints, and reduce pain.

Tendons are prone to injuries caused by overuse and aging.
Common tendon injuries include:
• Tendinitis (chronic inflammation of a tendon such as tennis elbow)
• Acute tears such as sprains, ruptures, etc.
PRP can accelerate the healing process, control and reduce inflammation and pain, and prevent tendon from weakening further.
