Great News!!!! The Town Snowmobile Trail has opened. A big thanks to Grand Lake Trailgroomers, Inc. and Park staff for working to get this important connector to the Trail system. Be gentle from town through the Park access and be extra careful up in the Powpow. Avalanche danger is Extreme!

The Grand Lake Area Citizens Against Recall, a grass roots group of concerned citizens, has reviewed the submitted petition by our County Assessor’s spouse Kathy Weydert, Grand Lake Town Board Trustee’s spouse Janice Bruton, Craig Wilkerson and Diane Mahoney on May 7, 2021, for a recall election of standing Mayor Steve Kudron. Upon extensive review of the petition this organization has determined that the issues raised are unsubstantiated, untrue and opinions expressed by people unhappy that recent decisions made by the current Town Board are contrary to their personal agendas. Based on this, there is no justification for a recall effort that will cost our town potentially tens of thousands of tax dollars, as well as having a demoralizing effect on a town that is healing from both the COVID Pandemic, and the horrific East Troublesome Wildfire.
