North Thurston Education Foundation
The Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer run organization with a community commitment to excellence in education. For more info, visit, www.ntef.org.
Our purpose is to seek donations, bequests, or endowments to provide support to students in NTPS. The Foundation Board of Trustees annually distributes money for:
*Individual student assistant to cover emergency needs where there are no other resources. Each school receives money for this purpose.
*Scholarships for college or technical school to graduates of each high school.
*Direct financial

Eric Zabala, an Army veteran and lifelong resident of the area, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the North Thurston Education Foundation (NTEF) board. A River Ridge High School graduate, he earned his AA from South Puget Sound Community College, a BA in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the University of Washington, and an MBA from Saint Martin's University.
Eric is a successful small business owner with 12 years at State Farm, including five as an agent. Married to Crystal for 20 years and father to Zane, a North Thurston Public Schools student, Eric is deeply committed to the community. His collaborative efforts include a joint grant for STEM with NTEF and support for the Tumwater Youth Program, showcasing his passion for fostering educational and community growth.
