From seeds and tools to wells and water systems, the key is people working together to identify their own development priorities, strengths and needs.

It's not too early to start planning to participate in the Reno County CROP Hunger Walk in Hutchinson this October. You can walk as an individual, you can gather a team from your church, workplace, or community organization, or you can even be a "virtual walker."

Thanks in advance to Seven23 Photography for taking pictures at tomorrow's CROP Hunger Walk! There will be people (walking), and there will be donations that can eventually purchase animals for people who need sustainable sources of food... but no cows have signed up to walk in the Reno County CROP Hunger Walk.

Less than 4 weeks until the Reno County CROP Hunger Walk! The official thermometer has been posted on my dining room wall (easier to update there than someplace more "official"!), and the website shows a total of $340 raised so far. That probably doesn't reflect cash or checks, and it definitely doesn't yet include donations that will be made in the next few weeks. Let's make this thermometer challenge the staying-power of my Sharpie!
