~ Welcome ~ James Messner, CFA, FRM, a Senior Portfolio Strategist at KIG. Jim brings over 14 years of industry experience to the firm, providing research and strategic oversight for our clients’ investment portfolios.

Jim earned his B.S. in finance from Rutgers University and entered the industry at JP Morgan Chase in the Foreign Exchange Department. After JP Morgan, he spent 10 years at Glenmede Investment Management, where he was a Research Analyst specializing in Derivatives and Risk Mitigating Strategies. Jim holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, a rigorous self-directed program testing a candidate’s knowledge across a wide variety of topics in Investments and Portfolio Management. He also holds the Financial Risk Management designation, a similar program focused on the risk management aspects of investing.

When not in the office, Jim enjoys spending time with his wife Ashley and their three children, James, Grace, and Evelyn.
