In 2019, Pinball Expo reserved a room to bring retro video gaming to our event. It was our first introduction to this genre and it was a BIG HIT! So, the last few years we decided to expand on this idea and create a whole section of the expo with retro gaming. It was a great turnout and SO MUCH FUN. Here we are in 2024, and Video Game Summit will be partnering with us to bring the largest retro gaming area ever! From Atari to PlayStation, ColecoVision to PS5, the combination of pinball, arcade machines and retro gaming will be absolutely amazing! Vendors will be there to sell games, systems, and other accessories. Special guests will be there as well to sign autographs and take pictures. I got some cool stuff in the mail this weekend. I finally got another NES game I did not have for the collection ( #524), as well as some cool Garbage Pail Kids, Princess Peach Folders with Mario Decals. Plus, Rage 2 or XBOX One, Brand New and Sealed.

I hope to see everyone next weekend at the Midwest Gaming Classic. I will be there with the Old School Gamer Magazine booth. Hopefully I will find more NES games as well as Sega Master System ones I am looking for.

There are moments in life where amazing things happen. This is one of those times. My son Clinton proposed to Alexa today at her favorite spot, "Harry Potter" at Universal Studios, Florida. Oh, and I am going to be a grandpa!!! The baby is due in August. Gender to be announced at a later date. Imagine the video games when this little one grows up. :)

Pinball Expo and Video Game Summit Join forces to form Combo show

Combo Show announced 2024 Dan Iacovelli started Video Game Summit on the heels of the last stand-alone Atari Jaguar Festival, of which AVC Online been involved with since 1995. In 2003, the Jaguar Festival along with several other retro gaming shows were combined, and on July 2003 Video Game Summit was born.

Even though the logo is revealed early its still not official until the VGS shop reopens
but the big news is Pinball Expo and Video Game Summit have joined forces for the October Pinball Expo show: VGS will be running the Retro video game section.
